Rather important to distinguish - as @JonHolb fails to do - between free speech and the very separate question of who broadcasters choose to invite on their programmes to discuss topical issues.
I wrote a thread about that here. threadreaderapp.com/thread/1025034…
If you are a broadcaster looking for someone to discuss an issue such as anti-semitism there are a huge number of people you could get. Lawyers who specialise in race discrimination and hate speech issues. Many others.
One is entitled to ask why - given the vast choice available- why choose someone to discuss that issue who represents no one and has no expertise in the area, as well as (let us say) very strong and idiosyncratic views?
Access to broadcast platforms is a form of power. It is the equivalent of handing someone a megaphone at Speaker’s Corner. One is entitled in a democratic society to ask who gets that power and how they are chosen and on what basis, without in any way questioning free speech.
