2/ ...of all i had achieved in school. And what a passionate sponge and learner I was. And then I said the dumbest thing I could—the thing I had said my entire school career

3/ My interviewer a very successful Wall Street finance guy with a square jaw stared at me with daggers in his eyes not just uninspired but annoyed
“NO. You are not here to ‘LEARN’. You are here to make my job easier. You are here to make me more productive to HELP not to LEARN”

4/ My advice is same:
apply for any role or job—seize any opportunity from intership to full-time—you are no longer in school
You are not seeking teacher or parent praise.
You are there to HELP + BE USEFUL
then INVALUABLE + INDISPENSABLE
You pay to LEARN.
You get paid to DO.
