I haven't worked less than 60 hours a week since I got into the work force at 19. So when leftists say dumb sh*t about Americans having to work more than 40 hrs to make ends meet, i roll my eyes and think to myself " toughen up snowflake."

That's life, get over it!
I have a buddy who always complains about money yet he never takes overtime from his job. Instead he goes home and does productive things like play video games till midnight and watch sports. Ask me if i feel sorry for him?
My other buddy makes over 75 k a year at a pretty cool job but instead of going home after work, he drives for Lyft for 3 hours and puts every last Penny into his TD Ameritrade stock account. Guess which one will have a better life in a few years?

I have been one of the people who thinks it is overblown and to an extent it is. But the more I read about this and talk to friends in the medical field, the more I realize that we need to take this serious. Live your life, don't get hysterical, but please do your due diligence
Stop comparing America with China. While we are better equipped to handle this , Americans face a different set of obstacles than China.

We have an obesity problem and Obese people with poor immune systems will be affected.

Democrat Incumbent in CA39 gets his A$$ handed to him by the Republican. Cisneros won this seat in 2018 by a narrow margin.
CA-25 is Katie Hill's old seat. 2 Republicans split the vote but once it's consolidated under Mike Garcia, this will be another win for Republicans in November.

Again, CNN won't talk about it but Trump and Republicans are poised to wreck shop in November! 👊🏼😎👊🏼
CA-16 The Republican currently has more votes than the Democrat Incumbent.

CA 21 The Republican is also destroying the Incumbent Dem 54-35

Again, Republicans are primed to take back the house in November.

And when those of us lucky enough to go to college do graduate, our degree is undervalued and often times jobs that require a bachelors continually offer hourly salaries that pay $13/hour and so we need another job. Thank you to the more than 1500 support staff members who participated. Among the data we collected:

67.58% of respondents reported having to work a second job to make ends meet. (1/?)
64.41% of respondents reported making $50,000 or less per year. A minimum annual income of $53,600 is required to not be considered “rent-burdened” in Los Angeles (ie, spending more than 30% of your income on rent.)
78.21% of respondents reported their ethnicity as white; no other ethnicity comprised more than 10% of the total.

78.61% of respondents who reported receiving financial assistance from family or friends also identified their ethnicity as white, showing a linkage - (3/?)

Social Security has become the main source of retirement income for most seniors, but the benefits today are quite small. 14% of seniors live in poverty—another 28% of seniors are close to it. Seniors are cutting pills and skipping meals to save money. This is unacceptable.

A thread on why I find this thread + the attached threads problematic:
Helpers are not exclusive to the upper and middle class culture, even underprivileged househoulds have kasambahays or helpers or domestic workers. Yes, there is a power imbalance to how the very rich exercise having kasambahays, but also, this isn't exclusive to ateneans.
This original tweet is not an automatic "flexing of helpers." Simply stating you have a helper doesn't mean you are unaware of your privilege. Ewan ko if si Regis whatnot is unaware of this privilege but the tweet itself is not necessarily tone deaf.
