I don't expect it can be sustained...the demands of the public will no longer be constrained by the fig-leaf needs of this man, nor his admin. But in the meantime, a lot of damage has already been inflicted unnecessarily... and likely more to come.
Watching that speech last night was painful. Not only the basic facts of it, the embedded lies, and errors that were propounded. But also the disturbing inability of Trump to muster the most basic of sense that he understood the problem & was a leader.
Muted and dull, he seemed almost afraid; a deer in the headlights. Reading words he not only did not believe but seemed to not understand.
