Narcissistic Personality Disorder

• Entire world view revolves around the self
• Exaggerated self-importance and authority (without expertise)
• Ongoing demand for delusional admiration
• Expectation of special favors and total compliance

• Inability to receive or admit criticism
• Pathological attacks on imagined competition from fear of humiliation
• Arrogant behavior due to bottomless insecurity
• Inability to recognize the needs and feelings of others
• Primary motivation is self interest

The Cult of Materialism

• Belief that greed is the highest value instead of humankind.
• Belief that pursuit of profits will lead to the most ethical results
• Belief that fortune 100 monopoly over our economic system is a "free market”

• Belief that fortune 100 economic monopolies deliver the highest quality of life
• Belief that massive income inequality is merit-based and normal
• Belief that democracy (one person, one vote) is "mob rule”

• Belief that anyone who is not wealthy or outside the ruling class deserves their suffering
• Belief that a small group of wealthy individuals have a moral standing to rule the majority

• Belief that any scientific evidence contradicting the above should be denied should be suspected of “political” spin
• Belief that this value system should be enforced by any means necessary including authoritarianism, disinformation and violence

• Belief that we can and must afford wars for oil, banks and the rich, but cannot and should not afford to take care of our people
• Belief that any effort to coordinate and share resources is immoral and “communist"

• Belief in the punishment model and violence is the best way to maintain social order.
• Belief that this value system is orderly, safe and secure

• Belief in the spiritual superiority of this value system, that this was the teaching of Jesus or is the natural order “how things work"

While the current republican leadership are the flag bearers, this culture pervades American life and crosses party lines. This culture is suicidal. It cannot sustain human life.

The cure:

• To recognize there are no "normal" relations with the extremism of materialism.

• Belief that humanity is our highest value.
• Belief that working to uplift human kind will lead to the most ethical and advanced society.
• Belief that money and profits are there to support and be of service to the pursuit of human values.

• To launch a Green New Deal, which turns this extremest value system around, from human destruction toward human development.
• To ensure all Americans have basic healthcare and a minimal income so nobody is living on the edge.

• To remove Fortune 100 financial ownership over our political representatives and remove big money campaign financing.

• To give all our citizens access to high quality education and apprenticeships so they can reach their full human potential and be effective stewards of self government.
• To open economic markets to greater participation, healthy competition and innovation

To fearlessly face the inheritance of genocide, slavery, and brutal classism and embrace the evolution toward a more advanced society.
• To recognize that a revenge model of justice is primitive and does not promote peace.

• To continue development toward true democracy, where all people are equal in opportunity and self-authority, regardless of what family they are born into.
