TX Lt. Gov Dan Patrick has stolen the freak show with his statements about seniors being willing to die to boost the economy & presumably the markets. But I'm still rattled by @RonDeSantisFL going on TV and announcing he won't lock Florida down.
Florida has the third-largest U.S. population after California and Texas. More people live in Florida than in New York & Ohio, both of which are locked down.

1. California 39,512,223
2. Texas28,995,881
3. Florida 21,477,737
4. New York 19,453,561
7. Ohio 11,689,100
And Florida is statistically tied with Maine in having the country's largest population of seniors, who are in the bullseye of COVID19 vulnerability. Texas, once again, is in the same category. prb.org/which-us-state…
And Florida is a tourism state, with all of the industries that attract international visitors who congregate in ways that make them especially vulnerable to coronavirus: hotels, Disney World, beaches, hotels ... not to mention the large prison and agricultural worker population.
It's just hard to understand why a governor of a state like that, or really any state, would be so callous to the potential loss of life. It's also a reminder of how critical it is that Congress get this stimulus bill right and put money in the hands of workers who ARE suffering.
