Saying "preppers were right" at the moment is about as sensible as saying "gas mask fetishists were right." Technically they have equipment that might help them, but this isn't why they bought it.
Btw, I wonder if there are any gas mask fetishists who are really having a moment now. Like, finally a chance to go public and only look a little weird.
Boy, the prepper community got mad about this post, but the gas mask fetishists have been remarkably polite.
For the record, if having enough food in the house to survive for 10 days and having a network of friends who have the same makes you a prepper, then I attend PTA meetings full of preppers.
