🔹Schools will remain closed preliminarily for another two weeks, past the April 1st deadline and every school district has to come up with plans to continue
🔹Will continue the 180 day waiver for number of days for school year
🔹21 days for the possible apex

🔹Looking at other options for hospital locations, converting dorms and hotels
🔹Still shopping for PPEs and ventilators
🔹People are on ventilators much longer with #COVID19 - up to 20 days
🔹Need 140K beds - currently have 53K
🔹Need 40k ICU beds - currently have 3K

🔹@FEMA, @USACEHQ and @USNationalGuard have been putting up emergency hospitals
🔹4,000 additional units will be completed soon
🔹Plan B: building another 4 temporary hospitals for another 4K beds
🔹One for every borough
🔹90k square footage has been scouted and found

🔹Coverage downstate:
🔹Queens Aqueduct: 100K square feet
🔹Brooklyn Cruise Terminal: 182K square feet
🔹College of Staten Island (@CSINews): 177K square feet
🔹USNS Comfort arriving Monday with 1,000 beds, 1,200 medical personnel

🔹NYS Stats: 16K new tests administered; 138K total tested
🔹44,635 total cases; 7K new cases; 519 fatalities (up from 385)
🔹6,481 now hospitalized; 1,583 in ICU beds, 2,045 discharged
🔹New York by far still the most affected state

🔹The way in which we’re compiling numbers is better now, using a more uniform universe of data
