Former University of Southern California Admissions Official Hiu Kit David Chong pleaded guilty in a scheme where he took thousands of $ in exchange for getting unqualified Chinese nationals admitted into USC's graduate program.
Chong bought fake college transcripts that he claimed were from Chinese universities & then had someone else create fake, inflated grade point averages. He then submitted them to USC along with fraudulent letters of recommendation.
He also looked into finding a stand-in test taker to take the English as a Foreign Language test. He ended up helping 3 unqualified people get admission into USC.
