The April 4th data for the US death curves

There is some modest decreased slope; we'll take what we can get but it is a sign of encouragement
New York's curve for April 4th remains a distinct outlier
NJ, FL and WA steeper
LA and MI somewhat improved
There are 2 ways to look at the US fatality curve today
Pessimistic: It has now reached that of Spain's and represents little change
Optimistic: It could have maintained the same slope (purple line) but it didn't.
We'll know which of these plays out in the days ahead
And John's (@jburnmurdoch) interpret ion, as you can see below, is the pessimistic one (comparing countries approach)
