#LiZhang described 35.7% required mechanical ventilation and significant risk factors for severe outcomes on #multivariate analysis was recent #cancertreatment and #consolidation on CT

#HongbingCai also described similar worse clinical outcomes in #cancer cohort compared to #non-cancer with worse outcomes in #hematological malignancies, #lungcancer and those recieving #chemotherapy #IO and #surgery @ASH @ASCO @COVID19nCCC

#2 Data from France @GustaveRoussy presented by @barlesi

Among 137 patients analyzed, majority were solid tumors, and with advanced disease

Of these, 11% patients were admitted to ICU with 14.6% #COVID19 related deaths. Researchers @GustaveRoussey also found increased clinical worsening among patients with #hematological malignancies and #ECOG >1 @ASH_hematology

Also, #treatment and #chemotherapy in last 3 months was significantly related to clinical worsening, confirming findings from some of the previous early reports in @TheLancetOncol thelancet.com/pdfs/journals/… and @Annals_Oncology annalsofoncology.org/article/S0923-…

Interestingly, #Targetedtherapy and #IO were not significantly related with worsening clinical outcomes in data from @GustaveRoussy

#3 Data from Spain presented by Carlos Gomez-Martin reported 25% patient dying due to #COVID19 and mean OS: 12.4 days, 54% patients with respiratory failure and 38% ARDS. #Significant risk factors were: severe #neutropenia and bilateral radiological pattern.

#4 @marinagarassino from #Italy reported first data from #TERAVOLT registry on #thoracic malignancies

For severe events, 8.8% with #ICU admissions and 2.5% with #ventilation for #COVID19 but no variables were found to be significantly related for outcomes in multivariate analysis (yet)
