I take pride in being able to make complex things seem simple.

I've been learning machine learning actively, passively & actively again for the past 30 months.

And I'd like to share:

So I've decided to do something slightly uncomfortable. I'm going to put myself out there. A lot.

Blog posts, webinar series, talks (post-COVID-19) etc.

"Learning Machine Learning".

I love to debate (or argue)

In a recent very frustrating argument, I promised the audience that I would be back.

Yesterday, I posted the following on the WhatsApp group:

"I promised myself I would come back to this 1 day in simplest of forms.

The similarity/difference/correlation between:

1. Artificial Intelligence
2. Statistics
3. Data Science
4. Machine Learning
5. Deep Learning ...

is analogous to

1. Sports
2. Basketball
3. Handball
4. Football
5. Five-a-Side

For a practical, simple English session on the above with Python, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Google Cloud (Cloud ML, BigTable, BigQuery & AutoML) ...

...ping me, or stay tuned for an upcoming webinar & blog post series".

A few pings later, it was evident I needed a simple form to receive expressions of interest. So I created one.

I've also recently (32 days ago) committed to being very inclusive about the Francophone developer community, donc j'ai aussi créé le formulaire en français:

Inspired by @moyheen & based on @TEDTalks like this - "How to learn any language in six months" (bit.ly/learn-6mo) - let's see if I can make good my promise in the next 150 days.

Very inspiring responses so I thought I'd share @lmoroney's "Intro to Machine Learning" using @TensorFlow. One of my favourites for content, simplicity, depth & length (7:17)

Feedback is a gift. Looking forward to your replies #learningmachinelearning
All the recommended resources I have explored will will reside on @github:

I hope to setup a @YouTube channel, author an @udemy or @pluralsight course, and post more regularly on my blog - blog.aniediudo.dev

bit.ly/lml-002 (If you watched Part 1 & didn't go on to watch Part 2, #learningmachinelearning may be hectic for you. For every resource I link to, please follow that resource down the rabbit hole i.e. links to related articles, suggested video playlists #learnml #ml #ai
bit.ly/lml-003 (If you watched Part 2 & didn't go on to watch Part 3, you are not going "down the rabbit hole". Your #learningmachinelearning journey could end up being quite frustrating).

As @EmekaOkoye keeps saying, too many of us "lack curiousity" #learning #ml #ai
So far, I've consciously avoided "big grammar", "lengthy text", "software installations" & "paid content" to get you started & keep #learningmachinelearning interesting

With an internet-connected device & a browser, you should have been able to follow along, right? #learning #ml
Eventually, while #learningmachinelearning, you will encounter "big grammar", "lengthy text", "software installations", "paid content", "complex math"

IMHO, you don't need that now

To drive a car, you don't need to know exactly how internal combustion engines work #learning #ml
Python is in my opinion, the most important language for #learningmachinelearning. I prefer @kaggle's introductory courses - bit.ly/lml-005 - but the @ThePSF, @DataCamp, @pluralsight, @udacity & @udemy all host excellent Python courses #machinelearning #learning #ml #ai
While #learningmachinelearning, competitions are one way to test, validate and stretch the knowledge you are acquiring.

This 5-minute video (bit.ly/lml-006) from the last #TFDevSummit shows you how to use @TensorFlow 2.x in @kaggle competitions #learning #ml #ai
@JeffDean also spoke about the "Grand Challenges" while giving the closing keynote/remarks @DeepIndaba's #DLIndaba #DLIndba2018, as well as during the keynote of @OReillyMedia's @TensorFlowWorld 2019

Another of my all-time favourite #learningmachinelearning introductory videos is
@yufengg's "What is #MachineLearning?"

bit.ly/lml-010

Just like @lmoroney's "Intro to #MachineLearning" video, my top criteria are, content, simplicity, depth & length (5:22) #ml #ai
If you are looking for either a 'gentle' (bit.ly/lml-011a) or 'simple' (bit.ly/lml-011b) "Introduction to #MachineLearning" or similar articles, visit @TDataScience's website

If you are lucky to be in #Nigeria, follow @bayoadekanmbi & connect with @DataScienceNIG
At this point you should have a firm grasp of "Machine Learning 101". I'd suggest you bookmark this thread for past, present & future reference.

If you haven't done so, subscribe to my #learningmachinelearning newsletter to receive regular updates
