The BDS movement has long exploited 🇺🇸 racial tensions, blaming #Israel 🇮🇱 for US policing problems. But “Deadly Exchange” comes w/a new, vile twist: @ADL, @AJCGlobal, @jinsadc & other American-Jewish orgs are cast as complicit in this nefarious effort to harm 🇺🇸 minorities 😮 1/
The “Deadly Exchange” propaganda campaign maintains that US policing problems, incl. wrongful deaths by US cops on the beat, are the result of the 1-2 week police 👮♀️ counter-terror seminars that American-Jewish orgs host in #Israel for high-level 🇺🇸 law enforcement officials. 2/
No serious criminal justice experts who study the sources of policing problems in 🇺🇸 or the need for police reform claim that these professional police exchange programs in 🇮🇱 have any causal weight. Yet anti Israel faculty are now promoting this junk “research” 😩 #academia 3/
Moving forward, it’ll be important to ensure that the necessary conversations that need to be had (re: addressing racism in 🇺🇸 & police reforms) aren’t hijacked by “Deadly Exchange” proponents. It’s been pushed for 3+ yrs & is now popping up in BDS-related online events ☹️ 4/
