A number of faculty who serve as directors of the programs (at least 6 of the 15) are publicly on record supporting the boycott of Israeli #academia. Legit Q: is this just advocacy (ie, speech protected by academic freedom & the 1A) or are they actually implementing the boycott?
If the latter, then the centers are in violation of Title VI, which explicitly requires engagement & exchange w/academic institutions in their regions of study. (I’m also concerned w/how speech & research is chilled by these academic boycott supporters who are administrators ☹️)
