🔥After Trump posted “when the looting starts, the shooting starts," 5,500 @Facebook employees demanded of Zuckerberg: “Can we change our policies around political free speech? Fact checking and removal of hate speech shouldn’t be exempt for politicians.”

Zuckerberg said Trump's post didn’t break Facebook's rules on inciting violence, which sparked widespread anger within the company. Three high-ranking employees QUIT in protest and others complained about the post on rival site @Twitter.💥

In addition, dozens of former employees signed a letter critiquing Zuckerberg's decision, saying it was a "betrayal" of Facebook’s early ideals.

Employees also questioned whether Facebook was in an “abusive relationship” with @realDonaldTrump.🔥

Employees thave wrestled deeply with issues of race and free speech—suspecting that Trump and other @GOP leaders are purposefully testing social media companies before the 2020 election.

🔥"What’s the point of establishing a principle if we’re going to move the goal posts every time Trump escalates his behavior?” asked software engineer Timothy Aveni, who QUIT this week.

"My toddler basically does the same thing to test boundaries,” another person said.

Zuckerberg's decisions left some employees questioning whether Facebook has kowtowed to the right. Zuckerberg personally decided:

▶️Not to take down a video of @SpeakerPelosi altered to make her appear drunk
▶️Not to fact-check political advertising or statements by politicians

Not to forget the 2016 election, when #Russians amplified divisive messages to millions of Americans on Facebook, and Cambridge Analytica privacy scandal, in which political operatives for the Trump campaign breached the personal data of tens of millions of Americans.🤬

Bottom line: #DeleteFacebook. It's MALWARE.
