An Oxford University study published in 1 June ranks the UK fourth from bottom in a global league of countries readiness for easing lockdown.

The study uses WHO criteria & the UK comes 191st out of 195, below South Sudan.

The league table (above) is the Oxford #COVID19 Govt Response Tracker & provides a cross-national overview of which countries meet 4 of WHO's 6 recommendations for relaxing physical distancing measures.

It provides for a rough comparison across nations.

This is a multitude of interlinking scandals - the care home scandal, the PPE scandal, the testing scandal, the app scandal, the media scandal, the contracts scandal, the Palantir/Faculty scandal etc. - which all make up the #HerdImmunityScandal.

1/. It’s 3 months since I stumbled upon what may turn out to be one of the greatest scandals of modern British history: the #HerdImmunityScandal.

On 8 March, after a tip off, I found the clip of the PM’s #TakeItOnTheChin comment.

I tweeted it & it was viewed 2.5m in 24 hours.
2/. Some questions raised by the #TakeItOnTheChin clip were answered by @peston No.10-sourced piece on 12 March revealing the govt’s #coronavirus “strategy” was #herdimmunity.

But then on 16 April, @peterjukes shared another tip off: the #GreenwichSpeech
3/. In this speech, made on 3 February, @BorisJohnson mentions #coronavirus for the first time & warns there’s a danger it will “trigger panic & [measures] that go beyond what’s medically rational to the point of doing real & unnecessary economic damage.”

Ystdy, In answer to @Keir_Starmer’s question why the coronavirus test-track-and-trace system was not up & running, @BorisJohnson responded angrily that it was.

Now @guardian reports it is not expected to work at full speed until September or October.

On 20/5, the PM promised a fully operational “world beating” system by 1 June.

Last week, @didoharding who is heading the govt’s Test & Trace system told MPs the system won’t be fully operational at local level until the end of June, 4 weeks after lockdown restrictions ease.
