What I have to say is very important and I ask you to read this all the way through.

About half of our district is the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula. This is where our aquaculture is and it is very strong.

This area makes its living from the hard labor of our Watermen. They need our support now more than ever. Our Watermen catch and raise marine life from rockfish to oysters. They are small businesses that keep the region going.

A President that is losing the support of our Watermen, according to Insider. He proudly stated he voted for the CARES ACT and was bringing help to our Watermen. Help that many haven't seen.

I spoke with one man today who said his business is only running part time and he hasn't had any help from the CARES ACT. This has been the recent trend and that can ruin the lives of an entire industry.

We have small businesses who had a great year in 2019 and were just getting started for a great one this year when the pandemic slammed it to a halt. The buffer they built up is running out or already has.

They are struggling to survive on the little bit our businesses have been able to safely reopen and with home delivery. I've been saying for years the importance of our Watermen in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula region.

Even worse, as I am doing this, as I am experiencing this struggle with the District, I have an opponent who seems mostly concerned with raising money and taking photo-ops.
