1/9 You & self-serving author Ron Koper are more than happy to just make sh*t up up to suit your narrative.
Your claim that "Choice" impacts education results clearly is not true.
The Top 3 Education Provinces in Canada are AB, BC & Ont.

2/9 BC doesn't have separate Catholic system & funds private schools little over half rate AB does.
Ontario doesn't fund Private schools at all.
And neither of them have Charter schools.
So what's all this BS about "Choice" being needed for results?
BC & Ont achieve without.

3/9 And if we're going to be clear about history, Alberta pre-confederation (aka the NWT) DID NOT WANT separate Catholic schools. They were forced upon us to appease Quebec - who incidentally got rid of THEIR separate schools in the last century.
Yet we have kept ours?

4/9 Why did we make what was then a controversial decision to have them? To protect the Catholic faith from being over-run & extinguished by Protestantism in the Anglophone West.
What is the result?
From only a few percent a century ago, now fully 1 in 4 Albertans are Catholic.

5/9 The Catholic Separate schools had the desired effect.
Protestantism as a % has declined. Catholicism has increased many times over. A result largely due to the expenditure of public tax dollars.
Some would suggest that the Alberta obligation to Quebec has been fulfilled.

6/9 In summary, the claim "Choice equals better results" is demonstrably untrue.
In fact "Choice" in this guise doesn't really result in more choice for most people - it actually results is LESS CHOICE, LESS OPTIONS & LOWER edu results. One only has to look to the US for proof.

7/9 Let's be clear. The #UCP #Kenney #LaGrange Education Plan does two things.
1/ It further privileges the wealthy, educated, connected & religious.
2/ It increases the ability for private organizations & business people to make profit from public education tax dollars.

8/9 We are witnessing the intentional underfunding & destruction of our Public education system right before our eyes with COVID used as additional distraction - all for privilege & profit.
