2/7 #COVID19 is most often spread through close contact with an infectious person via respiratory droplets. Less often, it can be spread when someone touches something with the virus on it, then touches their mouth, nose or eyes, before washing hands.
3/7 We don’t know yet exactly how long the virus causing #COVID19 lives on surfaces. Current evidence suggests it can live on objects and surfaces for anywhere from a few hours to days.
4/7 We do know that the virus is easily killed by cleaning with regular household cleaners or diluted bleach according to the label directions. It is important to clean and disinfect your personal environment.
5/7 At home: door or cabinet handles, light switches, handrails, faucets, countertops, toilets, electronics, toys, phones, tablets, television remotes, & bedside tables. In the car: door handles, steering wheel, and other frequently touched surfaces.
6/7 When you are outside of your home, using public transportation, or out in public spaces, carry a Health Canada-approved hand sanitizer to disinfect your hands, when soap and water are not available. canada.ca/en/public-heal…
7/7 Go OUT SMART. Remember to practice #PhysicalDistancing, #GoodHygiene, incl. meticulous #handwashing, #StayHomeIfSick and wear a non-medical mask or face covering when it’s difficult to keep 2m <-> distance from others.
