Tonight scared me. This whole week has scared me. This whole month. Six. Long. Days. This fucking year. So. Much. More. To. Come.
It’s time to talk some real serious scary but necessary talk.
Here’s what I think you should do immediately to survive what I fear may come next.
Pack a go bag. Take all that you think you’ll need to survive outdoors, without resupply or shelter, indefinitely. Try and carry light if you can. Janis did this four times in his life. Each time they took their Quran and their family heirlooms plus basic survival gear and food.
If possible buy one of these
FosPower Emergency Solar Hand Crank Portable Radio, NOAA Weather Radio for Household and Outdoor Emergency with AM/FM, LED Flashlight, Reading Lamp, 2000mAh Power Bank USB Charger and SOS Alarm amazon.com/dp/B07FKYHTWP/…
Get a first aid kit, Passports. Hard currency. Valuables you can carry and are willing to trade or sell. Any arms or ammo you can acquire. If you can’t get firearms, find an ax or bow and arrow (if you know how to use one), baseball bat, knives, etc. Medications you’ll need.
Flashlights. Batteries. Rope. Duct tape. Water bottles. Water purification system (iodine or device). Headphones (so you can listen to your walkie talkie quietly).
Get these walkie talkies
Midland 50 Channel Waterproof GMRS Two-Way Radio - Long Range Walkie Talkie with 142 Privacy Codes, SOS Siren, and NOAA Weather Alerts and Weather Scan (Black/Silver, Pair Pack) amazon.com/dp/B001WMFYH4/…
Add what else you think you need. Put as much of it in a bag you can carry on your back. Add a sleeping bag and this blanket:
Try and have an exit plan in place as soon as possible in case you need to leave at a moments notice. Costa Rica remains the easiest place for an American to reach by plane and get citizenship.
Acquire secure means of communicating. Facebook messenger, texting, WhatsApp, Twitter and Instagram DM, etc. None of those are secure. Use Signal for text & calls. Look into proton email for a more secure email system. Acquire a VPN for your internet usage surfshark.com/deals
I may sound alarmist. But all of this comes from a deep place of caring for each and every one of you. I want you and your families to be safe. I’ve stopped counting the people I know who legitimately have made plans to leave the United States should Trump win or seize power.
Trump is breaking down. He’s on meds that no one has ever been on, in this combination, at his age, with his health issues. His steroid - dexamethasone - is known to cause delusions of grandeur, mania, anger, rage, and depression.
He shouldn’t have control of nuclear weapons in normal times, and not especially now. He knows he’s losing. He’s scared. He owes $421 million and the only way he escapes paying is to stay in office. He’s making an all out play. This is a coup.
Even more terrifying, everyone who needs to be healthy and in charge during a war is sick and at home.
The White House is an infectious disease high risk area - anyone who enters risks infection and potential death.
If an adversary like Russia or China were to attack now or make an aggressive red line crossing move elsewhere, could we really trust this government to mount an effective response?
This is the clock ticking ever so close to midnight.
And one more thing. Vote for @JoeBiden like your life and the lives of everyone you’ve ever cared about depend on it. They do. Everything is on the line. #VOTE#VoteEarly#VoteBidenHarris2020

As chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee @jeffsessions oversaw all immigration legislation before the Senate. He & his Nazi aid #StephenMiller, who advised him on matters of immigration, made sure that any time we asked for more visas we were denied or fought at every turn.
Once Nazi #StephenMiller was in the White House he went about dismantling the Special Immigration Visa #SIV program. He forced out all of its advocates in government and installed sycophants who did his bidding. Tens of thousands have suffered under his cruel rule.
3. #Congress passed our recommendations into law in 2007. The @BarackObama admin improved upon them throughout their time in office. The #Trump team spent the last three years dismantling all of that hard and necessary work - immeasurably compounding the disaster we now face.
(1) I had the honor to meet with @SenJohnMcCain on four occasions in my life. The first was when I volunteered for his first Presidential Campaign in 2000. I was 18. I met him at the Rochester, NY Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Highland Park on a cold February Saturday evening.
2. I had spent the afternoon helping to set up the rally and in so doing, got to meet several Vietnam War Veterans, two of whom had served as POWs with Sen. McCain.
3. I’ll never forget the moment he stepped off his Straight Talk Express Bus and into the scrum of media, campaign staff, and adoring fans (at least a thousand people attended the rally in the cold and cramped conditions).
