I'm not suggesting Boris Johnson is corrupt. The man is simply tremendously unlucky.

Every time he talks up #NoDealBrexit, Sterling just happens to slump and all his hedge fund sponsors, as a matter of coincidence, make a killing.

Imagine if less forgiving people knew this.

I'm not saying that Michael Gove is a deceitful liar with a cocaine habit.

It's just tremendously unlucky that his predictions never come true, and that his promises are negated by events.

The sniffing through high pressure interviews thing. Fake news.

To be clear, I'm not saying #Johnson is the worst possible incompetent self defeating chaotic negligent choice anyone could have made for prime minister during a Pandemic.

It's just there are
64,999,999 better qualified candidates in the country.

I'm not saying Germans could never have prevented it.

I'm not saying that the Government is a crypto fascist front for a cabal passing laws that are more concerning than those passed by the Third Reich in the 1930s...

I'm just listening to the bishops.

I'm not saying we have the least accountable Government in principle and have lost any semblance of free press to hold them to account.

I'm just observing they seem to be able to make all the same mistakes and the press seems to be just fine with that.

I'm not saying the Government is full of unelected unaccountable eugenics advocates who self rate their intelligence an order of magnitude higher than Einstein

It's just we keep making mistakes that look awfully like out of control intellectual arrogance

TLDR. Many if not all Johnson Gov mistakes on #Covid19 are explained by just one thing.

Treating it like Flu.

Trouble is they're still doing that. And it's no more like Flu now than it was in March.

UKGov made a huge mistake.
They took a strategy for Pandemic Influenza, applied it but didn't allow for #COVID19 differences.

That's NOT OK once.
But what if they're still doing it.

I'm not normally one for quoting the Archbishop of Canterbury, but he nails jt

In one month Johnson/Cummings have pushed to legalise:

International Law Breaking
Domestic Law Breaking
Removd right to life and not to be tortured

And willing back bench stooges have approved it. Image

How about if Priti Patel wishes to murder you, she can, there is no legal answer and no check or balance?

If draconian powers to break laws are given indiscreetly to pretty much every Government Department.

This is the Covert Human Intelligence Sources (Criminal Conduct) Bill.

I'm at a loss as to how to explain what "Government" is enabling.

How about, a Government operative may commit any crime including torture or murder against you and be above the law?

What caught my attention was this highly unusual opening clause.

Anything relying on a declarative statement from Priti Patel (of all people) on Human Rights is immediately suspect.
It's important to read these bills with amendments and explanatory notes since this Government tends to obscure things by writing them across documents.

Maybe you think this is appalling but limited? Only Home Office?

The issues of #manchesterlockdown and #Lockdown2 are the consequence of a failed plan, for which an alternative has not been proposed.

Would it help to explain (scientifically), in this situation

1. What should be happening?
2. Why it isn't?
3. How to move forward?
1. WHAT SHOULD BE HAPPENING?

We should be using a standard Supression strategy.

In that scenario an area in which a spike occurs should be quickly and comprehensively shut down until all cases are identified and isolated.

The "area" would be far smaller than those in debate.
Think of an area the size of a city district or smaller. But under a much stronger complete quarantine. And for max 2 weeks duration.

There would be no need for an national lockdown since areas would be contained and controlled.

And the areas would be cleared up and solved.
