According to several media reports China begun taking (No joke) Anal swab tests, as (According to Al-Jazeera) a 52 year old man was first test negative with a nasal swab test and positive with a anal swab test. The incident was in Weinan, Shanxi. Image
For that anal swab test medical personals need insert a swab 3-5cm deep (1.2-2 inches) into the anus and rotate for a swab.
In a video posted by the newspaper Global Times, Zhang Wenhong of Huashan Hospital in Shanghai said that such swabs could be useful in helping minimise the risk of relapse after recovery.
Alone last week, a Beijing city official maintained that the state has collected more than 1,000 samples via an anal swab of teachers, staffers and students at a primary school in the city after an infection had been detected is reported by local media.
Dr Li Tongzeng, a respiratory and infectious disease specialist in Beijing city, told state TV last week, as cited by Aljazeera, that additional tests using anal swabs can pick up infections that other tests miss,
as virus traces in faecal samples or anal swabs could remain detectable for a longer time than in samples taken from the upper respiratory tract. Li added those tests are mandatory for high risk groups and such in qurantine.

Italy had previously announced that it would initially receive fewer doses of Moderna in February than expected. The other approved vaccines from Biontech and Astrazeneca are also currently struggling with delivery bottlenecks.
