Air Raid Sirens are currently sounding in Shahr Ara and Marzdaran areas, western #Tehran. Cause currently unknown.
If you are seeing an news circulating of two fires being located on satellite imagery, ye….. no, ignore it.
The air raid sirens reportedly rang for at least 15 minutes… @flightradar24 shows the current air traffic around #Tehran, #Iran at the moment. Intersting flight path for the Turkish Airlines flight.

No wonder the Air Raid Siren went off, She appears to have circled around an Air Defense Battery reported related to Ballastic Missile production.
Interestingly enough this was the same location in July 2020 that reportedly had a “explosion” that never happened.

Descending into #Baku.
According to different media outlets from #Iran the Siren was either a “Security Alarm going off” or “a technical malfunction/error”.
From my understanding there are no ground sensors at Baku Airport, I believe this is why sites like @flightradar24 don’t have her on the ground. We will need to wait for news from Baku.
The flight appeared to entered two restricted flight zones over #Tehran, OIR31 and OIR64. I believe these are both restricted? Just for reference.
If I take the reports at face value and play devils advocate on myself (which you know I do, I type as I think) if the siren did sound due to a water leak, then it’s possible ATC told the Turkish Flight to GTFO, but as to why it went to Baku and other flights landed *shrugs*
