#Myanmar ๐ฒ๐ฒ BREAKING: #AungSanSuuKyi has been arrested alongside the country's President according to her party the #NLD.
It seems that the military is commiting a coup.
Unlike before it will be very hard for #AungSanSuuKyi and the #NLD to profile themselves as champions of democracy in #Myanmar ๐ฒ๐ฒ.
In the short period that they were in a shared position of power they allowed the #Rohingya genocide to take place and defended the perpetrators.
That being said the actions of the #Tatmadaw are clearly a coup and the international community should retaliate.
The people of #Myanmar ๐ฒ๐ฒ deserve better than to go back to the dark days of military totalitarianism.
#Myanmar ๐ฒ๐ฒ: according to reports many more people are being arrested tonight by the #Tatmadaw military. This includes ministers, #NLD figures, regional governors, students leaders.
