The Kashmir Walla @tkwmag better known for spreading hatred in its articles, landed in hot waters this time. On 27 Jan @tkwmag falsely claimed that Jamia Siraj-ul-Uloom school in Shopian was “pressurized by army” to hold Republic day function
The article became an embarrassment for @pzfahad & @tkwmag when the school authorities of Jamia Siraj-Ul-Uloom released an official statement clarifying that no such compulsion was there from the army or police & the news reported by @tkwmag was totally baseless.
Now an FIR has been rightly registered against @tkwmag in this regard for peddling fake news, & once again for the umpteenth number of time @tkwmag is playing the victim card & talking about "freedom of press".
Deradicalisation of #Kashmir Youth, need of the hour. #Thread.
The valley has been bearing the brunt of radicalisation that has the potential to destroy the future generation of #Kashmir. Its a ticking time bomb that needs to be addressed at the earliest.
The gradual erosion of #Sufism is an indicator of the growing radicalisation in #Kashmir. Sufism faces a stiff competition from the Wahhabi brand of Islam as preached in Saudi Arabia & other parts of the world.
Sufi shrines are being burnt and there has hardly been any public outcry regarding the same, indicating the waning influence of the Hanafis. With the abundance of Saudi money, Wahhabi followers are gradually taking over Hanafi masjids in the valley. #Kashmir
19 years ago, on 20 Jan 2002, 4 Lashkar-e-Taiba #terrorists massacred 11 civilians, including eight children & a woman, & injured three others at a small village of Behra in Poonch, Jammu & #Kashmir.
The only fault of those innocent souls was that they refuse to be a part of the cycle of violence, they refused to shelter the four gun wielding LeT #terrorists. #Kashmir
The cold hearted killers did not even hesitate to kill eight innocent children, what kind of Jihad justifies the killing of innocent kids. #Kashmir#Terrorism
19 Jan 1990 - "Exodus day". More than 3 lakh Kashmiri Pandits who resided in #Kashmir from time immemorial became refugees overnight in their own country. A #thread#KashmiriPandits @AnupamPKher
The anti #Pandits pogroms & attacks started in 1989 with insurgency. On loud speakers open threats were being issued to #KashmiriPandits, the message was clear - "either leave the valley or die a painful death". #KashmiriPanditGenocide
Posters were pasted outside their houses declaring them as targets for the Jihadist.
Instances of assassinations, tortures & murder were becoming common. #PanditExodus#KashmiriPanditGenocide
Pakistan is a festered wound in the lives of #Kashmiris that has been eating away the soul of Kashmir for decades now.
Some sane leaders in #Kashmir who saw through the devilish design of #Pakistan & tried to save its people from this snake in the grass were either sidelined or worse killed in cold blood.
This includes the two most influential leaders of Kashmir #MirwaizFarooq & #AbdulGhaniLone.
What happened with them?
At 7:15 p.m. on 13 Feb 1990, #terrorists shot Lassa Kaul, 45, director of the government-run #television station as he stepped from a vehicle in front of his home.
It shook Mirwaiz Farooq, Lassa Kaul was his dear friend. #Kashmir
#IndianArmy is not only known for its valor, gallantry & professionalism but also for its unflinching sacrifice, dedication & love for its countrymen whether in #Kashmir or rest of #India.
On 14 Jan last year during heavy snowfall, an expecting mother Mrs Shamima from Dardpura, required emergency hospitalisation. For 4 hours over 100 Army Jawans of 52 RR & 30 civilians walked with her on stretcher through heavy snow.
The mother was able to reach hospital on time, thanks to the valiant efforts of #IndianArmy & the locals.
Baby was born in hospital, both mother & child were healthy. The family of Shamima & the locals couldn’t thank #IndianArmy enough.
