Supreme Court court hears an application by @KartiPC seeking leave to travel abroad in case by the Enforcement Directorate.

Senior Adv Kapil Sibal: bail has been granted and he is a Member of Parliament. He has cases pending against him

ASG SV Raju: In February 2020 such an order has been passed earlier but with a deposit of Rs 10 crores

Senior Adv Sibal: It's not justified for a MP. he will not run away

Solicitor General: This condition has been for this case itself

Sibal: In Maneka Gandhi case it had been held that Right to travel is a fundamental right. Such conditions should not be imposed in this case. This is entirely unfair.

Justice Ashok Bhushan: The earlier order was passed by a three judge bench. Can it be made 5 crores

Sibal: This is what is unreasonable. The restriction under Article 19(2) has to be reasonable. Why is this condition of 5 crores there at all. These are banking transactions

Sibal: There is no chance of my tampering any evidence My Lord. It was only Justice Gogoi who imposed this condition. 2017, 2018 there was no condition like this. Such permissions have been granted for 7 times

Raju: It's factually incorrect.

Senior Adv Sibal: If I remember correctly such condition was imposed in Sahara case

Solicitor General: I will request you to not deviate from earlier orders

ASG Raju: Please allow the travel iterinary be submitted and places to visit.

Justice Ashok Bhushan: Applicant shall make a deposit of two crores. @KartiPC to submit details on places to be visited in foreign country and the place where he will stay.

Sibal: Please direct to deposit in interest bearing account
