Dear Friends,
"And #pray in the Spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of #prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on #praying for all of the Lord's people" (Ephesians 6:18 NIV).
2/
You will notice the first half of this scripture refers to all kinds of #prayers (Moffatt's translation - "all manner", Berean Study Bible - "every kind of prayer"). That lets you know there are certainly different types of #prayer which may be used in different situations.
3/
Some #prayers in the scriptures include the ff:
🙏🏾 #Prayer of #Faith - Matt.21:21-22, Mark 11:24
🙏🏾 #Prayer of #Intercession - Ezekiel 22:30, Rom 8:26
🙏🏾 #Prayer of #Praise and #Worship - Acts 13:1-4, Acts 16:25
🙏🏾 #Prayer of #Commitment - Ps 37:5, 1Peter 5:7, Phil 4:6
4/
🙏🏾 #Praying in #Tongues - Acts 2:4, 1Corinthians 14:14, Jude 20
🙏🏾 #Prayer of #Agreement - Matthew 18:19
🙏🏾 #United #Prayer - Acts 4: 23-3
Primarily, whatever type of #prayer or #praying you are engaged in should always have its foundation in the word of God.
5/
Our faith (belief system) is governed by the word of God. Romans 10:17 (KJV) "Now faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God". We have no right to ask God for something we do not have scripture for.
6/
At the beginning of this year, I was catching up with a few friends and one of them made a statement that stood out in my mind. He said "all #prayers may not be a #prayer of #faith (a type of #prayer), but all #prayer must be in #faith".
7/
You see our faith in God and His word is an expression of our trust and confidence in Him and His word. That confidence or trust propels us to act. That action in #prayer is asking with an assurance of an answer from Him.
8/
Is 55:11(NIV) "So is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."
9/
That should remind us that when we approach our heavenly father in #prayer, we must be totally confident in His word concerning that situation.
I John 5:14 (NKJV) "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
10/
I John 5:15 (NKJV)
"And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
11/
In the second half of Ephesians 6:18 it says we should be alert in praying for the saints. Think of it this way; we should be sensitive in our hearts by letting the Holy Spirit lead us in the place of #prayer. Don't be set in your ways or fixed on a type or method of #prayer.
12/
I have found in my personal life that as I go about my daily activities (driving, school runs, working, making dinner, doing the laundry etc.), if I stay sensitive to His Spirit, He can get my attention to #pray about a situation, a need, someone I know personally or someone
13/
on the other side of the world. Many times, I have had an immediate family member call and ask for us to agree in #prayer about a situation and immediately I knew in my heart it was a situation I had #prayed about.
14/
Usually, I end up saying, "you know the Lord got across to me about that situation the other day, let's give thanks because it's done!!"
This makes our #prayer lives so productive, fun and an adventure in #faith with our God.
15/
So be willing and available to yield to His Spirit in the place of #prayer and remember, all #prayer is based on God's word!

Dear Friends,
The word #Forgiveness means different things to different people, but one thing it certainly points to is a prior state of being hurt emotionally or physically by others’ actions or words. Looking at dictionary definitions of the word #forgive
2/10
#Forgive means some of the following:
To pardon a wrong done
To remit or cancel a debt
To absolve of an offence
To leave a hurt feeling or situation alone, abandon it, send it away from you, your mind or consciousness
Whatever definition we might adopt,
3/10
it requires a conscious decision to forgive. In my personal life, I tend to ask myself,  Did God ask me to forgive, does it require my trust or faith in Him? Really when you think about it, anything He asks us to do will require our trust in, faith in & total reliance on Him

Dear friends, family and partners,
Welcome to 2021!!!
Happy New Year!!!
With the beginning of every new journey, new season in one's life, new career path, new opportunities, there is a tendency to take stock of our past mistakes or shortcomings.
2/10
This past year (2020) certainly brought different challenges with it. How we move forward in this new year (2021) will largely be dependent on how we deal with things in our past.
The Apostle Paul, like most of us, would have liked a "do over".
3/10
He had a lot from his past that could have held him back. Acts 8:1 (KJV) "And Paul was consenting unto his (Stephen's) death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was in Jerusalem; & they were scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea

It is 2020!
At the beginning of each #newyear, we make #new plans, new #resolutions, new #goals , want new #directions, forge new #paths and much more. This is wonderful. It sounds like we all want #CLARITY in our hearts about what to do and how to get it done. @PD_PneumaFaith
As I was thinking about this over the last couple of weeks, the scripture for #PneumaFaith kept coming to my mind. "The unfolding of your word gives light; it gives understanding to the simple." (Psalms 119:130 NIV). @PD_PneumaFaith
The word #UNFOLDING is used in many translations of this verse (#entrance, #teaching, #revelation, #explanation #disclosure #opening #declaration) Whatever translation we read, it implies the #reading or #meditation of the #word brings #light, #illumination ...
