All the indicators for fertility and birthrates fall as countries develop. These are- Urbanization, women’s education & gender equality and interestingly, religion.
The UN estimates that 30% of countries have pronatalist policies to improve fertility rates in place as at 2014 including things like govt-sponsored dating agencies but they barely make any difference as #Sweden would know. So why do govts keep trying?
Also because such pronatalist policies are expensive, #Canada simply chose to boost #Immigration and thus, Canadian immigrants are not refugees (because the system works), at least 7 yrs younger and usually better educated than native born Canadians.
