#Russia’s🇷🇺latest cyberattack began after @POTUS imposed new sanctions on #Russian individuals and assets for the #SolarWinds cyberattack—including restrictions on purchasing #Russia’s sovereign debt, making it more difficult for Russia to raise money & support its currency.
In one email sent through Constant Contact’s service on Tuesday, the hackers sent a message claiming that “Donald Trump has published new emails on election fraud.” The email bore a link that, when clicked, drops malicious files onto the computers of the recipients.🤬
New #sanctions aren’t enough. The US and our allies must act boldly to put a stop to the continued cyberwarfare being waged by #Russia, #China, and other adversaries. Far past time to put our offensive cyber capabilities to work.😎
