Here are a few uncomfortable truths. From 1947 to 2021 (except 75-77) India has been as free or unfree a democracy as you chose to label it. NOTHING has changed. So all of you out there put a lid on your lips & if you want to lecture India about democracy, freedom etc please 1st
read the threads by the brilliant scientist @ARanganathan72 & if you find his facts too hard to stomach search for the number of books banned, leaders jailed, riots etc with the help of Dr Google & you will find answers. So what has changed that post 2014 you hear these cries?
1) Till 2014 it didn't matter who was in power in Delhi as PM, the brokers middlemen, dalals, Lutyens club members, fixers, were in power. They decided everything from foreign policy to defence to internal security 2) They decided what was good for the country & it's people &
this included education, culture, history, good behaviour, etc. Nothing was spared 3) They decided what to give to the people, when & how much & the people were supposed to be grateful for that 4) Above all the people had no stakes in the country which "belonged" to someone else
5) From a stage when patriotism, pride for the Indian Flag, standing to attention wherever you were as you heard the National anthem we degenerated to a country where such acts attracted ridicule & diresively called nationalism as if it were a bad word 6) They told us that LPG
subsidy could never ever be taken away without a bloodbath, a Kashmir integrated into India without a nuclear war & many more & guess what - we actually believed these to be gospel truth 7) The confidence this triggered was such that by 2012 the country belonged to a cabal
8) As against a level playing field where corruption decided results we reached a stage where the cabal decided who could even play the game. Even for corruption you needed influence & contacts. There was corruption in corruption. That's how much we degenerated as a nation.
We the people didn't matter & everyone thought we didn't care & the cabal thought nobody can dare stand to to them. Then 2014 & @narendramodi happened against all odds. They said it's a black swan moment but 2019 disproved even that. LPG subsidy was removed by requesting people.
#Kashmir was integrated into India with no nuclear war. #Balakot happened without a nuclear reaction which was the threat that we believed in for 4 decades. The bluff was called & how. Over 1500 bungalows in central Delhi was vacated by throwing the illegal occupants out. Those
who walked the corridors of every govt office & openly offered inside info, fixed even cabinet postings suddenly found themselves without a job. Inside info flow stopped. More than once crucial info was known to the public only when the PM announced it. No more inside scoops.
The so called NRIs/ OCI card holders who had been issued cards even if they were not eligible were cut to size & everytime a illegal card was cancelled they cried foul. How can a nation follow & implement rules? The country had been taken back from those who thought they owned it
The involvement of the people at every stage was encouraged. We the people became stake holders in the country again. We could disagree with the govt, even hurt by some decisions but we never felt that we didn't belong, we never questioned the intent. When you read & hear the
comments made by everybody who oppose @narendramodi & the level of abuse, defiance of every decision the criticism of lack of freedom is a joke. When people can shut down public roads, highways for months on end without attracting any action & inspite of #COVID19 continue with
large gatherings, day no to masks/vaccines #FarmersProtest make demands no govt can accept, & a opposition that actually sabotages efforts including in areas of national security. Every talk of lack of freedom is a cruel joke. Such critics remember - Anything in excess is poison
The reason for this criticism isn't far to seek - for 60yrs, 4 generations have never been asked Qns by the public, openly mocked & replied to their views & comments. Their DNA that citizens can ask Qns/reply is missing. For them today the change is terrifying to say the least

When you consider the fact that NGOs like @peta @PetaIndia actually filed cases in the court's to not just tarnish the brand & image of a org like @Amul_Coop which is OWNED BY FARMERS, NOT CORPORATES THAT FUND SUCH NGOs it's clear that there is a systematic organized attempt by
such NGOs to sabotage the Indian economy, create social unrest & do whatever it takes to bring down the govt. Amul takes care of the animals a million times better than such NGOs & a factual joke since 1985 is that these animals get better healthcare than humans. Such kind of
anti national activity needs to be stopped forever. Every single paisa of funding to such orgs must be scrutinised & fresh tax laws passed where all expenses on such kind irrelevant activities are taxed at 50%. By using an iron fist the Indian govt will not get any brownie points

Just imagine the arrogance of #PETA that they are actually demanding that Indian #Dairy industry be shut down ? Have these people travelled across Europe & other countries to see how many cows are there? This is nothing but a deliberate attempt to sabotage the Indian economy,
create social disharmony & angst. This is a part of the #CreateUnrest strategy till the 2024 elections get over. I said this here before & say again - the 2024 election strategy playbook/ #Toolkit is ready - keep the country on boil with one thing or other creating stress across
the nation & stretching the resources of Govt so thin & irritate the citizens that somewhere, someone will snap & create a incident that can be then exploited. The strategy is to tire out the voter into voting against the current govt just to have peace of mind, not performance

In this @SandipGhose is bang on by pointing out that YES India Inc did falter & took their eyes off the ball. Almost everything that the writer says it's very valid. However I think it also needs some wider introspection - not to defend India Inc - but to

better appreciate the challenges. 1) India geographically has so little space that the so called social distancing is a non implementable idea not becoz a factory or office can't do it but becoz unless society can do it, anything else done within a private space is a cruel joke
2) With extremely poor healthcare, education & digital infra in non mega urban locations nobody in their right mind will want to shift esp when it involves taking a salary cut. In the Indian context orgs may actually need to pay higher for people to move out of cities 3) When

As one follows the journey of #COVID19 #CovidVaccine & the speeches of #NarendraModi & see the reaction of majority of citizens who have no time to play political games you realise why the man is hated so much esp by the intellectual upper class of society. He is their biggest
THREAT to what was an ecosystem for 70yrs where a billion citizens were living in a democratic monarchy thinking they had a stake in it. They were just subjects who were given largesse, patronage & looked up to the kings & queens who ruled & owned this country India. One man is
changing that from the roots below & he is @narendramodi He has managed to create in majority of citizens a feeling of belonging, responsible, involved, stakeholder, shareholder, contributor to nation & no longer a beggar getting doles. This change means that anybody in future

THEY for 6yrs 1) Tried to engineer riots & failed 2) Hoped that the Pak provocation would go unchallenged, didn't happen 3) Hoped the response will trigger a massive counter response, didn't happen 4) Hoped the Chinese incursion in #Doklam would give a bloody nose, didn't happen
5) Hoped that #COVID19 would result in mass deaths, didn't happen 6) Hoped that #shaheenbagh would trigger violence & bad press, didn't happen 7) Hoped that a #Covid19vaccine in India would not be created or available, not happening 8) Hoped for terrorist attacks, didn't happen

The most bizarre argument I have heard from educated globally traveled capitalist folks is that (somehow) it's immoral that the Modi govt used it's majority in parliament to pass bills & laws. These same folks give lectures on democracy & how Trump must accept election results.
I have tried to discern the logic in this argument & as I have stated on here earlier the reasons I surmise are as follows.
India with coalition Govts from 80s till 14 for 25yrs meant the tail wagged the dog & we believed THAT was how nature intended it to be. A ragtag 10 member
party decided who the PM should be. At every stage brokers took over every single aspect of the govt & nation that we became so comfortable with that system. Those who were in their 30s & spent 25yrs in their broker led admin of India at 55+ today are finding themselves totally
