Hindutva is a far right political ideology. It can seem far away when you're attending college in the US, but Hindutva places pressure on students' self-expression.

The section offers a series of questions that can help interested students identify Hindutva influences on their campus and the harms posed to the diversity and inclusivity we all seek to cultivate on college campuses.

To highlight just one:

Do you see behaviors or ideas being policed or condemned as not “South Asian” or not “Indian” or not “Hindu” if they do not fit into a narrowly defined perspective?

Such policing is a core activity of the Hindu Right. And it's wrong.

Last, this section of the field manual offers some educational resources on issues that either arise frequently in such contexts or, for others, not frequently enough, including -- Kashmir, religious hate speech on social media, and caste.
