2/ Relative risk reduction hospitalization for 2 shot mRNA vaccine & hospitalization is ~96%, probably closer to 90% w/ Delta vaccinated compared to unvaccinated cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/7…
3/ so for 1000 adults, let’s say 10% hospitalization rate (I’ve seen as high as 16%.) That means 100 unvaccinated will be hospitalized for every 9 vaccinated.
4/ of those, approximately 39% will be intubated per this Harvard study (data may have been earlier in pandemic, so let’s say 1/3, or 33 of those admits will get intubated). That means 3 of vaccinated will be intubate
5/ That means unvaccinated have about 11x higher (or scarier 1100% 😱) risk of being intubated than vaccinated patients.
7/ using these numbers, unvaccinated have 1100% higher risk of being intubated & paying a $100k bill than those who are vaccinated w/ mRNA Covid Vaccine #GetVaccinated #VaccinesWork
