Seemingly in a tit-for-tat, #Myanmar #military also targeted foreign, local aid staff working inside nation by asking organizations to fire at least 230 of them. @WHO & other #UN agency staff identified. Concerning as their work vital especially now #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

The @P4HR has recently highlighted how humanitarian & healthcare workers have been targeted by #Myanmar #military. It also pointed to how at least 25 healthcare workers have been reportedly killed & 190 arrested between Feb & July phr.org/our-work/resou… #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

Remember as well that the work of local & foreign humanitarian aid agencies crucial in #Myanmar especially during ongoing #militarycoup since Feb that has displaced some 176,000 people in various parts of country. Myanmar is also struggling with #Covid19 #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

And after more than a month since his appointment, the @ASEAN special envoy to #Myanmar also hopes that humanitarian aid can be sent in later this month. Without the help/knowledge of local/foreign NGOs, distributing the aid will be yet another challenge english.kyodonews.net/news/2021/09/3…
