#Protip: This is interesting numeric propaganda. Fried makes claims, but doesn't release data to support them.

And if what I can deduce from the figures is correct, I can claim masks made covid infections AS MUCH AS THREE TIMES WORSE THAN COUNTIES WITH NO MASK REQUIREMENTS!!!
How can that be? We have to plod through some numbers, that make plausible guesses about the data not shown.

If you go down the thread, you get a link to a spreadsheet that is less than self-explanatory. After clicking on column P, and doing some formulas, things clarify.
We have forty-five school districts with no mask requirements, with data for only 15. The number of "cases" listed in columns B through H seems to be the sum of staff and student cases. The cases in I are the total for that district, through the week ending September 20th.
Columns J & K are labeled "Case per Cap" and "Peak per Cap". J turns out to be the figures in column I divided by the "district enrollment," then multiplied by 100 to make them more dramatic. K is the highest weekly figure in columns B-H, again divided by enrollment, times 100.
Note that the "cases" figure, that is, total cases, is given first, contrary to normal procedure. That also makes them more dramatic. Note too that if the figures had been divided by county population rather than enrollment, they'd have been 5.75 to 16.30 times LOWER.
And if the figures hadn't been multiplied by 100, they'd have all been less than one, again less dramatic.

So how do these figures compare with those of the districts that had mask requirements? Beats me, Fried didn't provide any link that I see.
But the REALLY interesting thing is that the ratio of highest to lowest figure in columns J & K is about 21:1.

Since Fried refers to "UP TO seven times lower" figures for masked vs. unmasked districts, I think she took the district with the highest numbers and compared it
to the three other districts she named. But comparing with the district with the lowest rate would make the masked districts have THREE TIMES MORE CASES "PER CAP."

Or maybe not. She's so vague on how the figures were derived I'm not sure. But that's the point.
"Figures don't lie, but liars sure can figure." Without a specification of what's being compared to what, we can't judge if her assertions are true.

What is clear is that she really wants to be governor, and hopes that scaring people about covid will get her the job.

In an article in THE AMERICAN SPECTATOR, spectator.org/so-you-want-a-…, Scott McKay writes:

“We’re going to find out over the next three years, with the 2022 midterms and the 2024 presidential cycle, just how far removed we are from a return to
something akin to constitutional governance under the principles of federalism and whether it can be reclaimed.”

It's sad, but predictable, that people just can't bring themselves to face the facts.

Scott, we already know how far we are removed from constitutional governance.
Infinitely far. To embrace constitutional governance is to repeal the New Deal, the Great Society, and just about everything else the U.S. govt. does. That is not going to happen. You know that as well as I do.

I can't see a sensible case for deliberate release. Think it through.

"Let's commit an act of war against the whole world. We'll use a bat virus, and start it in the only place in OUR country that studies these things. We won't have a plausible path for species jump. We also
won't have a plausible cover story in place. When it starts to spread IN #Wuhan, we'll take actions that make it clear to any discerning person we are covering up something. And we'll make sure to leave incriminating information up for others to find."
Any strategist would try to have a plausible species-jump story, would release it in southern #China, and would be ready to do lots of phony cooperation to burnish the govt.'s image while the disease spread.

This #NYTimes piece on #Biden is #interesting. It'is almost honest.

The reporters express surprise that #SenileJoe is siding with the #Dem #Left. Maybe they really ARE surprised. If they are, it just shows they were conned as thoroughly as most of the country was in 2020.
It’s now clear that Biden had a three part agenda: 1) Get elected #POTUS. 2) Pass a lot of very expensive government programs. 3) Go down in history as an #FDR or #LBJ, a president who permanently transformed American society.
#Joe’s problem was that 2) endangered 1). He needed to pretend to be “moderate” to get elected. So he ran a campaign that came down to ‘#OrangeManBad, #SenileManGood, and let’s not talk about what I’ll do in office.’ And it worked. He got the #DemocraticParty united behind him.

#ThisIsHilarious.

The entire program of the #Left is that people do not get held responsible for their actions. People who don't work get welfare, people who destroy their health with alcohol and drugs get medical care. In return, no obligations on the recipients.
Now we see it was always a #lie. The obligation was to obey the ruling class. Staying poor was what the bosses wanted the poor to do. Their misery provides the smoke screen for the rulers' real goal: exercising power because they like it.
Cutting people off from medical care because they ate the wrong things, used the wrong drugs, had the wrong kind of sex was evil, because it would remove the rulers' excuses for action. THOSE people have an absolute right to "health care," paid for by the productive.

Tariq is always amusing.

First, the defense was put on by Kelly and his lawyers.

Second, in his own example picture, the text says nothing about race or “I’m-white-and-I-say-so” or redefining “racketeering”. As he's been told, the definition is that of the RICO act. All text, it reads: <Large ...
Really, I admire the sheer, brazen falsification Tariq uses in his grifts.

Another of Tariq's grifts is "suspected white supremacist(s)." No living person is ever identified as a definite white supremacist. That might get him sued for libel.

But the hordes of "suspected" supremacists need to be fought off, which he bravely does by not naming them.

#ThisIsHilarious, as well as #contemptible and #pathetic.

Let me tell you what the thread says, in plain language Stonewall UK would die before using:

There are men who know they are men, and men who believe they are women. They need the same kind of medical screening and care.
Similarly, there are women who know they are women, and women who believe they are men, and they need the same kind of medical care, things like breast exams and cervical cancer screenings.

But Britain's #NHS has chosen to screw the situation up, by lying in the medical records.
The men who believe they are women have their records marked 'F'-for-female under sex. So they get reminders to have their non-existent cervices checked for cancer, while NOT having their very real prostrates checked. This makes them feel good, but kills some of them.
