I detest Frost's contemptuous attitude to the EU. These are our friends, bonded by history, culture and multi-national families spanning a vast continent. They are our biggest trading market and our closest allies. What the hell are we doing here?

Absolutely risible, almost paralytically drunk interpretation. #BrexitDenial
It’s appalling bad faith. How can anyone negotiate with a government that behaves in this way? No agreement will have any trust or meaning.
Diplomacy by sociopath.

Put your hand up if, as part of taking back control, you elected David Frost. Oh yes, that’s right, no one did. #BrexitHasFailed
Must be a totally different David Frost to the one who told the Scottish Parliament in 2015 that being in the Single Market was a clear benefit, worth £1,500/ year to every family in the U.K., and meant 5-8% higher GDP. These men are liars.
#BrexitLies
🤦🏻‍♂️😬🤯
The EU continues to adopt the dignified role of a weary but patient godparent, watching & gently encouraging as its deranged godchild lurches from one crisis to the next, shouting, blaming and making excuses for all the financial & social chaos that is entirely of its own making.

All talk of ‘hindsight’ is dishonest gaslighting of the highest order.

It’s grim that the PM is sunning himself whilst all this #ToryCovidCatastrophe news swirls around. Like a trial in absentia in which the dictator has fled to another country.

Just a reminder of how great our EU deal is. It’s really, really, really great. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Another great compilation, ‘Cheaper Food, Clothing and Footwear’, by the Victorian undertaker. 🤦🏻‍♂️
#BrexitShambles
Of course, the European Research Group’s ‘Star Chamber’ 😬🤦🏻‍♂️🤣😱 said it was a good deal so all their years of not doing any European research of any kind really paid off there. #BrexitShambles #idiocracy #ToryBrexitDisaster

Britain is the Basil Fawlty of the world, without any of the clever lines. The EU is Sybil.

Southern Water’s handy map of everywhere they have pumped raw sewage into the sea in the last 24 hours because during heavy rain they’d rather be fined for that than invest in actual solutions. It’s the whole southeastern coastline, basically. We’re surrounded by shit.
Oh yes, I’d forgotten this. Just perfect.

I’ve worked in sustainability for 23 years, talking to large companies & campaigners daily.

No one serious has questioned the scale of the problem for years on end now, but I’m still not convinced the absolute, critical urgency of it has landed. Even with some of the NGOs. 1/
We need to treat the #IPCCReport science as an explosive device that needs immediate disabling, instead of viewing it as a guide map from which we can deviate or against which we can adjust our speed. We simply can’t.
#ClimateCrisis #extinction #nature #wildlife #ClimateEmergency
Of course too many companies still put short term profit ahead of long term losses, which are inevitable if they don’t change, but someone else’s problem. But also too many turf wars between NGOs, which plays right into the wrong hands. We have to get better at this, immediately.
