Large-scale military intervention by Russia in #Donbas, or #Russia launching war with #Ukraine would lead to very large casualties & loss of other territories & possibly independence of Ukraine. Putin threated such actions. Russia-Georgia war over South Ossetia is such precedent.

Denialists of civil war in #Donbas are fooled or like to be fooled by primitive propaganda, fake news & infowarriors. They can't produce evidence of regular Russian military units there, in contrast to such evidence (satellite images, videos, POWs & testimonies) in Aug 14 & Fe 15
Denialists of civil war in #Donbas have no problem with Ukrainians killing Ukrainians in civil war & with disastrous consequences for #Ukraine & Ukrainians of new #Russian military intervention or actual war with #Russia. Their problem is scholars calling civil war civil war.
Majority of scholars, who published or presented studies of Donbas conflict in Western academic venues, classified it as a civil war or intrastate conflict while also referring in various terms to Russian military intervention in Donbas. Only minority denies civil war in Donbas.
