Today marks the sixth anniversary of the #Saudi coalition’s intervention in #Yemen. After 6 years of war:
-The coalition hasn't succeeded in achieving any of its goals, most notably the restoration of Hadi government after the Houthis control of Sanaa in 2014. (THREAD)
-The first crack in the coalition was when #Saudi exempted #Qatar from continuing with the alliance.
-During this period, many countries withdrew from it, and the coalition failed to maintain the cohesion& strength of its legitimate justification.
-The most prominent was the full Emirati withdrawal, according to what Abu Dhabi announced on February 8, which was clearly in order to preserve economic interests after the Houthi drones arrived at Abu Dhabi airport in 2018&were followed by Iranian understandings with the UAE.
