That gives a clearer perspective, imho. On #Canada, the point now is NOT vaccinations. If vaccines don't work with rates over 85%, they never reliably will. Also, no one asks how many protesters ARE vaccinated. But authorities avoid checking that like the plague(/)

For them, checking that would risk seeing that protesters are MORE vaccinated than supporters. What would happen politically then?

Because their very readmission would be authorities, platforms, bureaucrats admitting wrong. And they are never wrong. @DavidBCollum

Also, their positions and risk differ, since politicians will in any event throw anybody under the bus to save their position. Proof is that no measure, no matter how harsh, ever entailed a personal bet for them. "Should I be wrong we'll go your way" is not in their book.(/)

Let alone, of course, resign. And of course, #Italy is the ideal observation point, a petri dish of sort, for two reasons: we have the worst institutions and the most resigned population, so shit flows through the duck faster. We are the prototype of the new sl.. citizen.
