In the hours and days ahead the WSWS will be posting statements against war from workers & young people across the US. #antiwar sentiment is censored from the corporate media. Post yr statement to show the world that the US population does not want war! #SpeakOutAgainstWW3

Liz, a nurse from LA says: "All working class people from the US must unite w/ our Ukrainian and Russian brothers & sisters. We have to build a working class #antiwar movement because this drive to war w/ Russia is a very dangerous policy. They are taking us to the edge."
The new anti-war movement must, above all, be international, mobilizing the vast power of the working class in a unified global struggle against imperialism.

"I think this is a great distraction, a scapegoat for the ruling class."
"We must make the people of Russia understand that we are not against them. The young people and workers of Russia are not happy about this war, we should take their side."
"You can tell by the propaganda that the ruling class really wants war. The only force that can stop the war is the unification of the international working class."
"I didn't get a ballot asking if I want this war, and neither did the people of #Russia. We need to build an international workers movement against war and capitalism."
Zach, a student at the University of Michigan: "I support the working people of Russia, who are extremely hurting. The ruble has been destroyed, peoples' life savings have evaporated. The Ukrainian people are also hurting."

Against the stupefying propaganda of capitalist media, WSWS spoke to autoworkers this week about political/historical context of the war in Ukraine. As this worker says, to understand the war, "you have to understand economics, and understand the world." #SpeakOutAgainstWW3 31/
“I totally agree with workers getting together because we have a common interest. From what I see, the Russian people don't really support the war. There's a disinformation campaign going on.”
"I don't support the buildup to war by the US against #Russia. I would be much more interested in fighting internationally as class for the things we need"

Aim of the webinar is to provide the working class with an understanding of the disease and how it can be fought. -- @DavidNorthWSWS#EndCOVD#October24
The cost in human lives is the product of a very deliberate policy. — David North. All politics and all policy are in the end about social and economic interests. — David North
The case for #elimination is so clear, so persuasive, that it would at first seem hard to understand how it could be argued against. — David North
Dr. Eric Feigl-Ding, Federation of American Scientists, speaks to how vaccine patents and corporate ownership of healthcare are a major impediment to dealing with the pandemic #EndCOVID#October24#Covid_19#COVID19
"There is so much injustice to this. The moral character of healthcare has been broken by politics." — Dr. Feigl-Ding
"Scientists and advocates cannot be begging for adequate funding. We have to wield political power to effect justice." — Dr. Feigl-Ding
"Even basic needs like water and sanitation are not met. The cities are covered in slums. Under these conditions the fight against the pandemic is a great challenge." -- Dr. Zayar.
“No mass testing or contact tracing has been conducted. Lockdown was imposed without any aid given to the millions of working masses.” -- Dr. Zayar
@davidnorthWSWS: It is a lie “that the consequences of this pandemic could not have been foreseen, that no one knew it was coming, and that – once it began – no one knew what had to be done to stop it.”
@DavidNorthWSWS Where are we now, as we approach the end of the second year of the pandemic?
At the end of the first year of the pandemic – that is, as of December 31, 2020 – the official global death toll stood at just under 1,950,000 people.
As of yesterday, with more than two months left before the end of the 2021, the total official death toll stood at 4,958,947.
In calling attention to the fact that the WSWS’s coverage of the pandemic dates back to January 2020, it is not for the purpose of boasting. -- @DavidNorthWSWS
@DavidNorthWSWS Rather, it is to refute the lie – perhaps the most pernicious of the tidal wave of lies that have flowed from governments and the media –
@DavidNorthWSWS that the consequences of this pandemic could not have been foreseen, that no one knew it was coming, and that – once it began – no one knew what had to be done to stop it.
The lessons of the war of annihilation against the Soviet Union are of contemporary relevance. The same contradictions of world capitalism threaten to plunge the world into the inferno of a third world war. #22июня#мыпомним
