Absolutely important interview with the scientist who conducted the Danish study about the effect (or the non effect) of mRNA vaccines on all-cause mortality. unherd.com/thepost/study-…
Vaccines have effects beyond their specific effect against a specific disease. This effect can be seen by studying all-cause mortality after delivering a vaccine in a population. The effect of vaccines on all-cause mortality can be positive or negative. #mRNA #Moderna #Pfizer
Live vaccines contain a weakened version of the pathogen, they seem to decrease all-cause mortality

Non live vaccines, those that contain only a portion of the pathogen or a deactivated pathogen, seem to have a negative effect on all-cause mortality. #mRNA vaccines are non live
Also, live vaccines are administered once because the attenuated version of the pathogen they contain is enough of a warning to the immune system to kick into action.
Non live vaccines have to be administered repeatedly to initiate the appropriate reaction against the pathogen.
Non-live vaccines, although they protect against the intended pathogen, seem to increase the susceptibility against other infections, which may explain their negative effect on all-cause mortality.
It is absolutely important to test vaccines for their non specific effet (all-cause mortality). Covid vaccines have not been tested for this. This is what the Danish study set out to do using raw data from 4 vaccine manufacturers, AstraZeneca, J&J, Moderna and Pfizer.
The effect of mRNA covid vaccines on all-cause mortality was slightly negative, compared to the positive effect of Adenovirus vector based covid vaccines against all-cause mortality. And the difference is striking. Image
If you're offered only mRNA vaccines, then the choice is the following: getting a good protection against covid but a negative effect against other diseases. Among those other diseases contributing to a higher all-cause mortality for #mRNA vaccines are cardiovascular diseases.
Intelligent vaccination programs should take into account the effect on all-cause mortality of vaccines. This could save millions of lives.
In #Canada, we do not have intelligent vaccination programs, we have a PM who boasts about vaccines but does not understand them. #Trudeau

The global South defies the West on #Ukraine.
mondediplo.com/2022/05/02ukra…
"Western demands that (the global south) make costly sacrifices by cutting off economic ties with #Russia to uphold a 'rules-based order' have begotten an allergic reaction. That order hasn’t been rules-based; instead, it has allowed the #US to violate intern'l law with impunity"
On the other hand, #Russia is trusted in the global south.
"Russia has become a key interlocutor in all regional crises as the only power with ongoing relations with all participants, including those at odds, or even at war, with each other"

Pope Says #NATO Might Have Provoked Russian Invasion of #Ukraine wsj.com/livecoverage/r… via @wsj
"Pope Francis said the “barking of #NATO at the door of Russia” may have led to the invasion of #Ukraine and that he didn't know whether other countries should supply Ukraine with more arms."
“In #Ukraine, it was other states that created the conflict,” Pope Francis said in the interview, without identifying which states. He likened the war to other conflicts that he said were fomented by international interests: “#Syria, Yemen, Iraq, one war after another in Africa.”

Military analysis of the Russian special operation so far in #Ukraine:"The reason #Ukraine requested more tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery from its Western suppliers is that it had depleted its available stocks (in phase one of the Russian campaign)" rt.com/russia/554729-…
#Kiev might or might not have been a target of the Russian special op (faulty intel might have led #Russia to believe that Kiev could fall under mil pressure alone), the result is that "#Ukraine held onto Kiev, (but) it did so at an enormous cost in overall combat effectiveness."
"where the Ukrainian military was left holding territory which no longer served any useful purpose for the Russians. Russia was able to redeploy its forces to better support its prime objective, the seizure of Donbass, leaving the Ukrainian forces in #Kiev frozen in place."
