The @theNASEM is holding an all day session now on airborne transmission of #COVID19 & other microbes.
Don Milton says @theNASEM that #SARSCoV2 is "evolving towards better aerosol transmission" between people.
So far tyhe big take-home message @theNASEM mtg on airborne spread of #SARASCoV2 is that we need to improve spaces, not people/mask wearing. And very exciting findings on ways to ventillate and scrub air are presented.
Shelly Miller tells @theNASEM that combination central air filtration + UV exposure can bring #SARSCoV2 spread down to R=0 even if people in the buildings decline to wear masks.
Oanel discussion notes examples of vertical transmission of #SARSCoV2 in tall apartment buildings, proving that the virus can spread upwards in vents if the air is unfiltered and no other competing ventilation is present.
