New data show #Japan continues giving more & more money to #Russia

With tensions high over the Kuril Islands, Japan did not import any fuel from Moscow in June, but today's August's figures are known.
Although 20% down in volume on Aug 2021, it's still 54% higher in cash terms.
Britain's daily intelligence update concentrates on #Russia's "regrouping" as #Moscow terms it.

London confirms outright panic in some places with heavy losses in terms of hardware.

Kherson is one of the world's leading suppliers of melons and especially watermelons.

Day 1560 of Ukraine's fight for survival, and this morning Russia's predicted massive attack has arrived.

Multiple civilians have been murdered and the number is growing.
As I always say, this happens because we in the west have been too weak to stop it.

There was a lot of destruction yesterday too, though Ukraine stuck to hitting military logistics and fuel targets.

It's caused continuing near-panic for invading Russians, and results can be seen at gas stations.

Day 1552. A holiday in many countries "Whit Monday" in most, Spring holiday in others (inc UK) and Memorial Day in the U.S

But after 4 years and 3 months, memorials are still being made in Ukraine because our leaders, collectively, let them down.

Explosions have been heard in the city of Dnipro after an alert for ballistic missiles. Smoke can be seen, but no initial news of widespread damage, so hopefully air defence did its job. Image

Wednesday 20 May is Day 1547 of Putin's catastrophic full invasion of its peaceful neighbour.

Russia has lost a large part of a generation of men - dead, dying or those who managed to emigrate. Reserves spent, economy collapsing.

Russia is showing small signs of desperation.
More economic woes, more Ukraine air attacks deep inside Russia, a desperation to strengthen ties with allies and having to make new nuclear threats.
