SitRep - 24/10 - "Exactly 8 months ago it started"

The daily summary of the events of the war in #Ukraine. With today -finally again- a number of confirmed liberated villages by the AFU in the north of Ukraine.

Today exactly 8 months ago, Russia started the war.

Thread!

1/X
We start like usual with enemy losses:

A higher uptake in men losses is recorded. Also slightly more armoured vehicles are seen captured or destroyed. This is in line with a lot of new footage coming out of either captured or damaged equipment.

For example these tanks and a MT-LB carrier captured by the AFU in the south.

The AFU shot down 3 (!!) Ka-52 helicopters in the #Kherson region. Two of them early this morning within an half an hour and the last one this evening.

Footage appeared of the downing of one of them.
We continue with general events:

In #Kherson, a statue of Suvorov was partially removed. Suvorov was a Russian general that crushed down the Polish independence uprising in 1794. Apparently #Russia started to "de-Russify" #Kherson themself already.

The Yellow Ribbon activist partisan movement is getting more active by the day

Scholz reconfirmed the news that #Germany will send 3 more IRIS-T airdefense systems on top of the current one that is already serving in the AFU ranks. It is not known if the delivery will be accelerated.

A train echelon of newly built T-90M tanks in Russia are on the move. Probably they will head to the front, or mabey used in the joint exercise in #Belarus?

The made up story by Russia about Ukraine's willingness to use a 'dirty' bomb begins to take on very sick forms. They even accuse Poland of helping build a 'dirty' weapon.
#Azerbaijan officialy sided with Ukraine. In a television broadcast on the state channel, Azerbaijan distanced themselves from Russia and its actions and issued a harsh statement on #Iran.

#Estonia has approved another aid package. They are true partners and friends during the war.

Then the frontline situations.

#Kherson:

➡️Since the #Mylove update it went completely silent. Nearly no info is coming out of #Kherson. Things are happening, but we have to wait.
➡️AFU hit hard in Nova Kahkovka and struck Russian bases with 19 HIMARS GMRLS missiles
➡️In an intercepted message by the SBU, a local Russian fighter complained about them having to retreat and the upcoming offensive in the region by Ukrainian forces.
➡️We have our first visual evidence of shop owners refusing to accept Rubles.

➡️Busroute 33 from #Kherson to #Zelenivka is suspended until further due. Drivers of the local transport company were told that all buses would serve as evacuation buses from and to Crimea. The buses used on the original route are brand new and just bought by the local council.
Kreminna:

✅ AFU has #Novosadove and #Nevske back under control. After the loss we reported yesterday (which occured 2 days earlier) the AFU managed to retake the settlements
➡️Battles ongoing in Chervonopopivka say local 🇷🇺 sources. People are also being evacuated to Kreminna.
➡️Incoming shelling in #Proletarsk area, east of #Lysychansk and about 15km west of #Kreminna.

Source: "There are only some houses left that have communication. Repair work is suspended because of the lack in building materials. There is almost no humanitarian aid ".
➡️Footage appeared of an AFU soldier alledgedly saying hello from #Luhansk region, talking about Rubizhne coming home soon. Let's wait for confirmation...

#Kupyansk-#Svatove:

✅AFU has liberated #Karmazynivka and #Myasozharivka. Karmazynivka is important as it gives direct access to the P66 highway south of #Svatove
➡️Large AFU troop movement is reported by Russians
➡️#Kyslivka was shelled, under AFU✅

Something is happening🙃
#Bakhmut:

➡️A lot of shelling on the whole frontline.
➡️AFU pushed back Russian forces to the other side of the M03/M06 intersection.
➡️ We have visual confirmation of AFU controlling the asphalt plant. 🇷🇺 fought 2 (!) months for it, lost it in 2 days.

That's all today. If you like my reporting and mapping you can support me via buymeacoffee.com/noelreports.

I will keep improving!!

Cheers,

Small correction. This visual is from the Siniat ALC slightly west of the Asphalt plant. The asphalt plant itself was also liberated.

SitRep - 26/10 - "Kadyrov is unhappy"

A daily overview of events in Ukraine. With a special look at the area around Kreminna, Kupyansk and Svatove. In addition, the AFU was active today with targeted attacks on concentrations of Russian personnel and equipment.

Russian losses per 26/10. We see a very sharp uptake in lost tanks and (armored) vehicles. Which makes sense given all the trophy footage that came out recent days. Image
The AFU shot down a Ka-52 attack helicopter in the south around 4pm. Image

SitRep - 23/10 - "Drones, missiles and a petal mine"

Today we go back to the daily happenings in #Ukraine. Because of a network deactivation/cut-off in Kherson by Russia, we didn't receive many updates. But let's speak about what we do know! We look at different front lines

1/X
We start with the daily losses on the Russian side. Nothing special, just another day in the office. What does start to stand out is the constant (high) loss of artillery systems. That should start to take its toll on Russia.

Overnight a series of attacks hit critical infrastructure in the country. A total of 16 drones were shot down between 12pm and 2am. Ukraine really urgently needs more airdefense.

➡️Today #Israel 🇮🇱 provided intel to #Ukraine to combat the Iranian drones in a more effective way.

SitRep - 22/10 - "So it begins"

An overview of the daily events during the war in Ukraine. With a special look at #Kherson and #Bakhmut. Today unfortunately we saw massive cruise missile attack on critical infrastructure of Ukraine resulting in outages.
We start with the Russian losses. Compared to yesterday we see a normal rate. We are working towards 70.000.
Overnight Russia tried to strike Ukraine again with a lot of drones. The AFU shot down 10. Unfortunately some hit their destination, inflicting minor but hard damage. Also 18 cruise missiles were shot down this morning.

SitRep - 21/10 - "Special cleaning up operation"

A special thanks to @Belgian_Fella for the SitRep title input. Today we cover the war in Ukraine again. No territorial changes, some extra confirmations and we have information about interesting locations...

We start the day with Russian losses. The uptake today is low compared to other days. This might have to do with outages troughout the whole country. Let's assume these numbers are incomplete.

This morning it became known that the SBU has put leader of #Belarus, #Lukashenko on the wanted list. Same like the entire leadership and mouthpieces of the Russian government.

SitRep - 20/10/2022 - "Is #Kherson preparing?"

An overview of daily events in Ukraine. Today a day where relatively little happened, but at the same time in the north (Belarus) there is more and more reason to think that a new front could be opened.

Also map updates!

1/X
Overnight 🇷🇺 attacked Ukraine with mostly kamikaze drones. 14 of them were shot down.

Today there was not much missile/drone activity compared to the past days. Only in #Kyiv and #Mykolaiv this morning missiles were shot down or inflicted no damage. Image
