1/ Operational situation update/ #russian_invasion in #Ukraine on January 17, 2023
Just a quick update on #RussiaUkraineWar about #Bakhmut area.
several reports / pics/vid geoloc from today seems to clearly indicates the progress of Ru in some areas.

2/ so #Russian are progressing near #krasnopolivka and are close to control the area around #KrasnaHora and closing in on #Blahodatne, but some resistance is still ongoing
we just don't know if #UAarmy is fighting "forward" or "backward" for better position in villages/past river

3/ the other news, but i still need to see real evidence about it is that Ru would have advanced around the village of #Klishchiivka and if true it kind of "sucks" to be honest.
because for sure there is a trully heavy defensive structure on the top of the hill and much more than

4/ than old sat pic can show you... but as i explained (a bit) in yesterday gen thread, once this hill is under Ru control, the situation in the area could change a bit more even if nothing radical of course is expected to happen..

5/ Also there are some reports for the 5th time that #WagnerPMC have seized the entirety of #Opytne # #Опитне 84571 & they will certainly finally indeed take it as there are no more real line of defense there.
but no real proof right now of such claims.
Also #Bakhmut battle soon

6/ i'm not really that much into this kind of "representation" of war/heroism (if u follow me for a while), but i have to admit that one is right now quite right abt some areas as we have some reports of what happened past weeks around #Soledar when they were fighting Zombiecccp

7/ i could "fill in" and create narratives like a lot of people out there do about #Kreminna , but frankly i have zero good infos now, and no one in this area i know.
so i'm not going to change the map as it could be almost the same as yesterday..

8/ and as for last report : #Russian occupants attempt to isolate the civilians in the temporarily occupied territories of #Kherson oblast from access to alternative sources of information. Along with stopping the broadcast of all Ukrainian TV channels, the invaders made russian

9/ mobile operators the only available means of mobile communication.
According to the available information, russian occupants are intensifying searches for their deserters in the temporarily occupied territories. Under the pretext of searching for Ukr saboteurs, the invaders r

10/ conducting raids in the occupied settlements of Kherson oblast.
Today Ukr Air Force launched 10x air strikes on the concentrations of personnel, weapons, and military equipment of the adversary. (big "200's" to come)
Moreover, Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 1x Su-25 !

11/ Ukrainian missile and artillery troops attacked 2x command posts, as well as 1x concentration of russian troops, 1x ammunition depot, 1x electronic warfare station, and 1x radio-location station. !!
and this is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT as Ru won't be able to replace it as fast as

12/ it does with his Zombies !
