Another weekend; we've reach Day 360 of #Russia's war on #Ukraine.
The daily threads keep coming to ensure you're up to date with all the important news. Already today #Ukraine has been attacked by Cruise missile attack
Details coming up on this, huge 🇷🇺deaths + #RussiaOnFire
First a link to yesterday's thread in case you missed anything, including important news from #Bakhmut at the end of Friday.
In the early hours of this morning someone seems to have been smoking on the job in the city of #Ufa.
This is the Krezol chemicals factory. How sad.
Worryingly, #Russia's war bloggers have stepped up another regular false narrative around the use of chemical weapons. They did the same in #Syria, then gassed the rebels.
The latest is this "discovery" of "unknown" toxic substances fired by #Ukraine in #Vuhledar (RU: #Ugledar)
Despite the fact #Russia is commiting war crimes, starting wars and is an international pariah, two Brazilian footballers have applied for Russian passports.
Zenit midfielders Malcolm + Claudinho have made no public comment yet.

#Ukraine's Nuclear Energy agency says #Russia committed "an act of nuclear terrorism" today.
Energoatom says two enemy cruise missiles flew over the South Ukrainian nuclear power plant, dangerously close to the nuclear facility and a worldwide "nuclear catastrophe"
Can't really feel any sympathy for these guys who claim they were trained in artillery, then sent to #Donetsk and told they'd be infantry.
Oh, and now they are effectively blackmailed each day to avoid being sent to the front.
Today marks 8 years since the #Debaltseve massacre.
136 of #Ukraine's soldiers were killed after holding out for weeks in the #Donetsk town, against four-times greater forces, and eventually being surrounded.
Officials in #Khmelnytskyi admit #Russia's 2nd missile hit a "military facility" in the city
Regional Head, Serhiy Hamaly confirmed the news while also giving an update on civilian victims, a man and a woman, both stable in hospital. The man was in a minibus when hit by shrapnel
This is said to be proof of #Ukraine destroying a new type of Russian "Grad" for the 1st time.
In the occupied part of #Zaporizhzhia, US high-precision M982 Excalibur took out the "Grad" 2B26, a modernised version of the 2B5 combat vehicle, tranferred from Ural to KamAZ chassis.
1/2 As I mentioned earlier, it's 9 years since the start of the massacre on #Maidan. I was among the protesters in #Kyiv that night and the subsequent days as the President of #Ukraine, forced by #Putin to back down on his promise to join Europe, ordered the killing of civilians.
2/2 My photos from 18/2/04, clockwise:
1 The #Maidan Revolution HQ had been reclaimed by the govt.
2 We brought ladders, anthing which would burn - smoke stopped the snipers
3 Govt thugs firebombed a medical centre
4 New roadblocks set up by protesters
Don't be misled by this. #UK is NOT giving fighter jets, really we can't.
But the strong message of support may help other nations which do have jets.
With aerial support #Ukraine can better protect tanks and defend the skies
Starting today with a video which came out last night, supposedly showing a snapshot of the ongoing power-battle inside #Russia's war effort. This even extending to the troops now as #Wagner's mob of mercenaries comes up again "official" Russian army troops in #Ukraine
Here are the daily losses for #Russia in its bid to obliterate #Ukraine and its people.
Numbers well down across the board, except for the two cruise missiles which were hit, though the other two landed in #Khmelbytskyi.
Daily losses for #Russia heading back up again according to #Ukraine.
A further 800 of the Kremlin's soldiers fertilising the rich soil. Also Cruise missiles high for obvious reasons and a notable increase in technical vehicles/fuel tanks.
It's Thursday and it's Day 358 of #Russia's illegal war on its peaceful neighbour and another daily thread
Yet again the day started violently for many regions of #Ukraine with overnight missile attacks targeting critical civilian infrastructure, which is itself a war crime...
Apologies for the late start today, I've had meetings from first thing, which overran a little
First, here the link for yesterday's thread as I know a few of you like to read back in one go and others like to catch up with that they missed in the evening:
This is the start of Wednesday's daily thread with news and analysis from #Russia's war on #Ukraine.
This is Day 357, which has started relatively quietly.
To recap, or check anything you missed yesterday, click and scroll Tuesday's 🧵:
On Tuesday we learned of the death of an 8th British man in the war in #Ukraine
He's now been named as 45 year old Jonathan Shenkin, born in Glasgow but living in London. Mr Shenkin enlisted for the Ukrainian army & worked as a paramedic.
His family describe him as a hero.
RIP
Britain, Canada Czechia + Sweden all confirm a boycott of next month's women's Boxing's World Championship in India
USA + Ireland already withdrew.
Theyre all angry at Putin's mate, IBA President Umar Kremlev, who's allowing Russians to fight under 🇷🇺flag insidethegames.biz/articles/11336…
Day 355 of the brutal war started by #Russia on its peaceful neighbour. Very nearly 10 years since the first invasion of #Ukraine and the world did nothing, hoping the aggression would stop. The world did the same after Georgia. Nothing stopped. Dictators don't stop voluntarily
I'm tweeting from Manchester airport ahead of the Premiere of my new film "Ukraine: A War On Two Fronts" in Brussels this lunchtime.
I should be able to post a link to the live stream here a little nearer the time.
Before I go any further, immense thanks to Scott Vierling for the very generous donation via Ko-Fi which I saw when the alarm clock went off far too early!
Thanks to everyone for all support, be it cash, encouragement or tip-offs.💙💛
