Shamelessly stealing an idea from @jacksonfall and prompting GPT-4 to help me build a profitable business.

I'm going to start with the same prompt and do whatever it asks me to.

Let's goooooooo

Alright so the approach here is to find a product or service with high demand and low supply using a website like @junglescout or @GoogleTrends

On Google trends, the term "chat GPT" is exploding in popularity so I asked HustleGPT to suggest products related to that.

#gpt4 Image
@junglescout @GoogleTrends Top ideas generated by the bot 🤖

- AI-related books
- Ergonomic keyboards
- High-quality microphones
- Webcams

It also suggested digital products and I liked that more so I asked it to elaborate.

The answer? Chat bot scripts. That sounds easy enough 😅 Image
@junglescout @GoogleTrends Now we're cooking 🔥🔥

#HustleGPT and I will create a program language-agnostic script that can be used with #ChatGPT or #GPT4 to learn development from scratch.

#LearnToCode #100DaysOfCode ImageImage
And we have a product name!

🚀ChatCode Tutor🚀

The initial release will be a 10-part #Notion Template that walks through the beginning stages of a programming language of your choice.

I may have cheated by suggesting the Notion template 🙃

#HustleGPT suggested a word doc
Now for the fun part - logo design with @midjourney 😄

#GPT4 -> Prompt -> #midjourney

In doing this I came up with a new idea for another time: An inpainting tool to replace hallucinated text in logos 😂😂

For now I'm going with option 3.

#HustleGPT Image
After a few minutes in @canva I have something I can live with #notadesigner

Back to the product! Image
This could...actually be a cool product. In short, each section will have a script that follows the a conversational pattern:

User: What is programming?

ChatCode Tutor: Programming is the process of writing instructions...

I'm working with #HustleGPT to refine the script. Image
We have now agreed on a intuitive format.

Time to implement it across all 10 sections 👐🫡

And we have spent $0 so far ✅✅✅

#ChatGPT #gpt4 ImageImage
We hit section 3 and it seemed appropriate to start adding language-specific sections with example prompts for popular languages like #python and #javascript...

So we did that!

I'd like to speed through the script creation and get V1 posted so we can focus on marketing 🦾 Image
Don't forget to complement your #HustleGPT agent Image
Script ✅
How To ✅

Okay #HustleGPT, now what? Image
@gumroad #HustleGPT and I started building this thing 2 hours ago and now its available an @gumroad!

GPT-4 wrote the taglines, descriptions, and marketing copy.

I am a glorified copy-paster 📋📎

Next steps: Market this puppy

#buildinpublic #indiehackers ImageImage
@gumroad So after some discussion with my co-founder, we are going to write a blog post about using ChatCode Tutor and post it on several blogging sites.

We will focus on blogs that are focused on developers like @ThePracticalDev and @hashnode

Onward ➡️➡️➡️
First article published for ChatCode Tutor!

It could definitely use some refining but in the name of #HustleGPT we're moving on to the next step.

dev.to/chatcodetutor/…
GPT4 is suggesting I share this article on Hacker News 😅

I think we're gonna hold off on that. Here is the full list of suggestions.

Repurposing the content seems like an alright next step and has the lowest risk of getting me banned from the internet 😂 Image
Reposting the blog to @gumroad for a little more exposure.

This #HustleGPT thing is definitely a human-in-the-loop type of endeavor.

joemuller.gumroad.com/p/introducing-…
I asked #HustleGPT to summarize what we accomplished and it did a good job (considering we've been at this for a few hours)

Our next goal is to expand the product offering so that
its worth $10. How?

- Language-specific scripts
- Project-based learning Image
Honestly #HustleGPT is an awesome co-founder 😄

I asked if we should offer one giant product or a bunch of little ones for each language.

After reviewing some pros and cons, the decision is to offer one product that includes everything.

#gpt4 #buildinpublic Image
Added support for 4 languages, updated the banner graphic, and revised the blog post on dev.to and Gumroad 😎

#Python
#DartLang
#javascript
#rustlang

#HustleGPT

Now the boss wants me to create a tutorial/demo 🫡 Image
So we've been chatting...

And the next step is to create a public Github repo for crowdsourcing interview questions/prompts.

The paid product will need to be more structured and walk users through more complex topics.

#HustleGPT, its fun but not necessarily easy 😅 Image
Had an epiphany overnight to improve the product's marketing reach by creating the #HustleGPT database!

I saw @tdinh_me do something similar for Black Friday so I figured I'd give it a try 😎

#buildinginpublic #indiehackers

#HustleGPT agrees this was a good idea. I feel validated 😊

The big question now is if I should pivot...or is that cheating?

Is building a HustleGPT product with HustleGPT too meta?

#GPT4 Image
I think embracing #HustleGPT inception would be a little unfair.

SO BACK TO IMPROVING THE PRODUCT

The new goal will be to improve the flow of the script by adding more granularity in each section.

Currently each page is kind of a word wall.

#buildinpublic Image
A minor pivot which I'd been expecting. Each offering on Gumroad will be specific to a single language.

🎁 As a bonus, every offering will have a "generic" script that users can use to learn any language.

This gives us the ability to bundle and upsell customers later #dartLang Image
We're in the grind phase right now and #HustleGPT is pumping out the content.

Neither of us are tired. Or at least we won't admit it.

Overall the script is looking really good.

#flutter #dartLang #buildinpublic ImageImageImageImage
NOOOOO #HustleGPT Image
Well, it's a lot quieter these days without you around 💔

#HustleGPT < #RestGPT

@OpenAI Image
While HustleGPT was sleeping I published the new tutorial 🤓

And one more post for the day. I think my #HustleGPT is coming back online soon so I plan on regrouping and figuring out what comes next.

We're in a good spot for Day 2!

Day 4 (I think?) of the #HustleGPT challenge

Its been a grind but everything is falling into place. We have 4 sales channels now with 3 others awaiting approval.

@payhip Can we get some views on these? 🙏 Image
The gameplan for today is to build out some new products for markets outside of the programming niche.

The ChatCode Tutor format lends itself to almost any skill you could want to learn so why not?

Read the entire story starting at the original thread:

There have been a few setbacks, too

- Google Ad Campaign was suspended for god knows why
- Continuing to hit the response limit on GPT-4. I'm making it WORK 😂
- A lot of sites that distribute #NotionTemplates want giant affiliate fees

No show stoppers though. We movin' 🚅

New day, new thread #HustleGPT

I've been working on a tutorial product called ChatCode Tutor with GPT-4. So far we've:

1. Created a Notion Template with a chat script
2. Posted it on @gumroad
3. Started advertising

You can read the full adventure here:

The plan for today is to get at least one person to download the product, even if its free.

My motivation to keep this thing rolling is going to dry up fast if no one sees what I'm working on. To that end, we're reducing the price to $0.

Before we kick things off tho... Image
First official download of the ChatCode Tutor - Dart product!
@davecraige

Granted I made it free...

But some feedback and usage is better than none!

One thing you need to consider when designing your #Firestore database is how much data you'll need to build each document reference.

This will be important if you ever add notifications to your #flutter app since the notification should bring the user to a relevant screen.
For example, say you have the following collections:

Users -> Posts -> Comments

And you want to notify a user about a comment on their own post. In this case, the notification will only need the post ID and the comment ID since we can infer the user ID.
But what if you wanted to notify a user about a reply to their comment on someone else's post?

You'd need to send all 3 IDs so your app can resolve the destination.

Alternatively, you could flatten the database so that users, posts, and comments are top-level.
