The Intel update from London today talks about defences and optics. For me the last sentence is very important.

Because it happens seldom in free countries, many "Russia experts" forget the lengths and expense Putin will go to just to fool the people.

A minor fightback by #Ukraine (not the full counteroffensive yet) in key areas of the frontline.

The lull in #Russia's attacks plus the concentration on defence continues to lead to the deaths of fewer invading soldiers and lower equipment losses.

My last post in yesterday's thread was about explosions in #Pavlohrad

Unfortunately the news is not good. 25 people, including 3 kids, were injured

7 missiles were shot down but others got through with schools, apartment blocks, shops, houses + an industrial enterprise damaged.

In total 18 cruise missiles were fired by #Russia last night.

Again the Terrorist State launched Kh-101 and 555 cruise missiles from planes, in both Murmansk and over the Caspian Sea.

Air defence shot down 15.
The missiles cost Russia $234m - not one power cut in #Ukraine!

Another attack on #Russia in the #Bryansk region.

Now a train laden with oil has been derailed after saboteurs damaged the track with an IED.

The locomotive has 60 wagons carrying fuel and timber. There was a fire at the scene after the derailment.

The saga of South Africa, Putin and the ICC arrest warrant continues.

#SouthAfrica recently confirmed it would abide by ICC rules and arrest the suspected war criminal #Putin.

The Times now says the Russian President has been told not to come.

News coming in of two more successful hits on #Russia's forces in the occupied part of #Zaporizhzhia.

#Ukraine sources say about 30 invaders were killed in the early hours, and the same number injured near #Poloh

Rockets also destroyed 3 APCs and a KaMAZ lorry.

Almost 100km west of #Polohy, another Russian base was struck at #Mikhailivka.

Locals say #Russia's troops took over the Hetman cafe in the town and following the strikes secondary explosions - presumably ammunition igniting - were heard.

A nearby school was also damaged.

But destruction on the other side of the frontline in #Zaporizhzhia

#Russia used air-strikes on #Hulyaipole
Private houses and farm buildings were badly damaged.

Presumably the invaders believes #Ukraine troops were based there.

A child's been killed when #Russia bombed #Chernihiv region today.

A school was hit in the village of Novgorod-Siverskyi, 40km from the Russian border. It was not open but the child was nearby when the rocket struck.

In occupied #Crimea the so-called governor claims #Russia's air defence downed a drone.

This is in the west of the territory, near #Yevpatoria.

A woman's been arrested for a🔵+🟡anti-war poster in #Yekaterinburg.

Her husband said she knew she'd be arrested, but she did it anyway, saying "This is the truth and I wanted to declare it. So that people who have the same opinion do not feel alone."

First blasts of some description have been heard in the northern outskirts of #Melitopol'

Meanwhile reports of missiles arriving in #Tokmak, a well known sport for #Russia's soldiers to rest.
