2/function only by MY SUPERIOR ENERGY(SPIRIT). These manifestations have no independent existence.
All manifested beings have their source OF MY MATERIAL & SPIRITUAL ENERGY.

All manifestations rest on ME, like pearls strung on a thread.

3/All embodied souls are under the control of three modes or qualities of material nature-Goodness, passion & ignorance (Sattva, Rajas & Tamas)
These modes act upon us, and how one transcends them is explained by #SriKrishna.

4/Of all embodied beings that appear in all the species of various kinds, Nature is the conceiving mother, while I AM the seed giving Father.
Sattva, Rajas & Tamas born of Nature tie down the imperishable soul to the body.

5/Sattva, on account of its stainlessness, is luminous & free from evil. But it binds the embodied self by creating attachment to happiness & knowledge.
Rajas is the nature of passion, the source of desire & attachment. It binds fast the embodied self by attachment to action.

6/Tamas is born of ignorance, deludes all embodied beings and binds fast by inadvertence, indolence and sleep.
Sattva binds one to happiness, Rajas to work, while Tamas by covering knowledge, binds one to inadvertence.

7/When through all the sense openings in this body, the light of knowledge radiates, one should know Sattva predominates.
When greed, activity, action, restlessness, desire prevail, then Rajas predominates.
When darkness, inactivity, delusion prevail, then Tamas predominates.

8/From Sattva results knowledge, from Rajas only greed, from Tamas nothing but inadvertence, delusion & ignorance.
Having transcended these three Gunas, which are the cause of this body, the embodied self gains deliverance from birth & death and becomes IMMORTAL.

9/With renunciation, non-attachment, meditaton on MY COSMIC SELF, a man rises above the Gunas. The practice of Yogas of Karma, Bhakti, Jnana & Raja will help man merge his lower self(body & mind) with his indwelling HIGHER SELF- MY COSMIC SPIRIT.
10/ IAM the embodiment of BRAHMAN (ABSOLUTE).
The wise meditative man should worship ME, without attachment, mastering his senses, conquering Rajas & Tamas by the culture of Sattva.
With intellect pacified, he should conquer Sattva. By this, man is freed of Gunas.

11/ He alone truly sees, who sees the Supreme Lord as IMPERISHABLE SPIRIT and abiding equally in all perishable beings, both animate & inanimate.
The moment man perceives the diversified existence of beings as rooted in MY COSMIC SPIRIT, the very moment he becomes ABSOLUTE-

12/The mode(Gunas) of Goodness(Sattva)is purer than the modes of Passion & Ignorance.
Those situated in that Mode become conditioned by sense of happiness & knowledge, not much affected by material miseries and its sinful reactions.

13/But when situated in the Mode of Goodness(Sattva), those living entities think of superior knowledge or feel better than others, get conditioned to material world. This makes them continue with Samsara due to their illusion of material energy.
14/The Modes of Goodness, Passion & Ignorance compete for supremacy in a living entity to bind the conditioned soul. While Goodness( illumined knowledge)conditions one to happiness, Mode of Passion to fruitative actions, & Mode of Ignorance binds to madness, darkness& inertia.
15/When one dies in Mode of Goodness, he attains Higher Planets of sages, those in Mode of Passion attain planet of activity & those in Mode of Ignorance attain birth in animal kingdom.
16/Mode of Goodness develops Real Knowledge, Mode of Passion develops Greed and Mode of Ignorance develops Foolishness, Madness & Illusion.
17/ When one properly sees that there is only the SUPREME TRANSCENDENTAL ABSOLUTE in all activities, he attains MY SPIRITUAL NATURE, IMPERSONAL BRAHMAN, SAT-CHIT-ANANDA.

19/Know that by knowing MY formless & qualified aspects of COSMIC CONSCIOUSNESS(COSMIC SELF), there is nothing remains to be known.
Only one in millions srives to realise MY COSMIC SPIRIT.
Of those striving Yogis, only some rare one knows MY indwelling REALITY.
