Priyadarshi Mahapatra, who quit his MNC job to start a healthcare start-up to deliver affordable care right at the doorsteps of people living in Odisha’s most backward regions.
Launched in 2021 with his friends Shobhan Mahapatra and US-based Sanjay Swain, #CureBay aims to enable affordable healthcare in remote locations.
It is a first-of-its-kind hybrid health tech start-up that bridges highly-qualified doctors and patients in rural areas by arranging on-the-spot video calls and providing preclinical healthcare at the e-clinics set up in remote locations.
So far, it has managed to help more than 15,000 patients in rural #Odisha with its network of 20 physical clinics across nine districts.

Hailing from Agra in #UttarPradesh, Aarti chose to drop her preparation for a year while she taught students in a local school. "I used the money to pay for my coaching classes. I began preparing after 2020 & since then, have been working diligently to crack the exam," she says.
"She will be the first doctor in the family, and it is a huge achievement. Despite financial problems, she has managed to crack the exam," says her father, Bishambhar Jha, who has worked as a truck mechanic for the last 40 years.
