TRUE STORY RANT: In my 20’s, my car broke down at work and my (then) boss offered to give me a ride home.
He pulled off on a dirt road in the woods, told me I was a beautiful girl, & asked if he could ‘get his rocks off’ in front of me.
NO KIDDING, I said, “Sure... wait, what’s that?”🤣
When he told me, I said, “You either put this car in gear or I’ll fucking bury you in that woods right there, you hear me?”
My dad taught me to stand up for myself, regardless of the situation. I’m teaching my daughters the same thing, and so should you.
It’s okay to be strong. It’s okay to talk about these things and it’s important that we support each other.
Luckily mine ended well and I have a funny story to share at parties. Hopefully these stories will become non-existent.
In the end, he apologized and drove me right home and this experience helped to shape the woman I am today. Don’t be afraid to speak out!!
